AnotherXboxgames sale has arrived in certain parts of the globe, with EA hosting a “Buy One, Get One Free Sale” for select titles. The deal comes just one month after a similar sale took place on theXboxstorefront, except the titles on sale for February differ from January’s offerings and include a variety of EA original titles.
News of the sale came at a somewhat awkward time for Microsoft this week. With the company laying off over 10,000 employees in January, and morereported layoffs forthcoming from the Xbox marketing teamsamong other divisions, the news has not been pleasant for Xbox lately. With the ongoing Activision Blizzard acquisition talks looming over the company, only time will tell if the layoffs and restructuring within Xbox will correlate with the acquisition, should it be completed later this year.

However, in certain parts of the world such as the UK, EA is hosting a Buy One, Get One Free sale on the Xbox store for consoles and PC. The sale will last until Monday, February 13, with the prices starting at £24.99, or roughly $29.99 USD. Last month, the offering included games from the EA Sports lineup, includingFIFA 23andMadden NFL 23. This time, however, the itemslisted in the sale includeTitanfall 2, withTitanfall 2 Ultimate Editiongoing for the £24.99 price tag. Games such asBattlefield 5andStar Wars: Battlefront 2are also part of the sale at higher price points, making them the starting price point for players that want to take advantage of the sale’s offers.
In addition,Need For Speedtitlessuch asNeed for Speed: HeatandNeed for Speed: Paybackare also part of the sale. Though the offer does not extend to games already discounted for different reasons, Need for Speed: Unboundis also discounted down to $34.99 USD. However, the sale may not be the most enticing offer that EA and Microsoft have put forward compared to before.
Titles such asTitanfall 2have been on sale for a much lower price point in the past, including as low as three dollars. Plus, most of the titles included in the offer are also included with EA Play, which in and of itself isavailable on Xbox Game Pass. Players that want to make the most of these games will have plenty of alternatives to grab them and save money in the process. However, those that want to buy them without requiring a Game Pass or EA Play subscription may choose to either take advantage of this sale while it lasts, or wait for a better offer in the future.
