InWoW Classic, and inWoW SoD, the Darkmoon Faire is very different compared to what modernWorld of Warcraftplayers might know. Instead of a spooky Void-themed island that houses a kind of funhouse of activities and minigames, the Darkmoon Faire inWoW SoDis much more limited, and not nearly as accessible.
In fact, the limited-time event is only available in each faction’s territory once each month, on an alternating Darkmoon Faire schedule. This schedule works the same way inWoW SoD, and because it began at the very start of the year, it’s possible to track the entire Darkmoon Faire schedule for 2024.
Darkmoon Faire Overview: Earning Tickets & Rewards
The Darkmoon Faire operates much the same way as it does in Retail, as players are able to complete activities in exchange for Tickets. These Tickets can be turned in fora variety of useful prizes, including the 14-slot Darkmoon Storage Box for 50 Tix.
Instead of playing minigames and such like in Retail, though,WoW SoDplayers pretty much just turn in certain requested items to quest givers. Leatherworkers, Blacksmiths, Tailors, and Engineers have it easiest as the majority of quests at the Darkmoon Fairerequire items made by these professions, but all the requested items can also be purchased from the Auction House.
For completing the introductory quest, players get five Darkmoon Faire Tickets. Each quest offers a varying amount of Tickets, usually around 3 to 5 total for a handful of the requested items. Bring lots of items to turn in to speed up the process, and be sure to look up exactly how many each quest giver asks for to not make (or buy) any extras.
Darkmoon Faire Schedule in WoW SoD (2024)
The Darkmoon Faire doesn’t stay in one place, and it doesn’t stay active all the time. Starting at the beginning of the year, on January 1, the Darkmoon Faire will be active for six days, disappear for about eight days, then re-appear to set up in the opposing faction’s territory to set up.
Alliance playerscan go to Mulgore, andHorde playerscan go to Goldshire, but it’s a tedious, tricky trek that can end in being killed by Guards or other players on PvP servers. Essentially, the Darkmoon Faire takes place every two weeks, lasts for six days (not including three days to set up), and alternates between factions.
Because it began on January 1 this year, it’s relatively easy to track the 2024 Darkmoon Faire schedule. Read the table below to find out the start and end dates for the Darkmoon Faire all year long, and whether it spawns in Mulgore or Elwynn Forest on each date.
