Summary

World of Warcraftrecently confirmed players will be able to earn the missing Night Elf Heritage armor set sometime in the future. Though it couldn’t give any details yet, the case of the mysteriously missingWorld of WarcraftHeritage set will be solved soon.

Patch 10.1.7, Fury Incarnate, recently went live inWorld of Warcraft. The patch included an impressive amount of content, including a Heritage Armor questline for the Night Elves. However, when the patch went live, players were remiss to find the Night Elf armor set only had a single coloration, and that the blue and white version they had discovered in the Public Test Realm was nowhere to be found. The situation worsened when players checked the updated Night Elf race landing on the official website. Splash art for the newWorld of WarcraftHeritage Armor was added, but it featured both the blue and white version alongside the collectible purple and silver one. Shortly after it was discovered,World of Warcraftquietly removed the image, leaving many scratching their heads about the mysterious armor set.

Night Elf fans are glad to seeWoWclear up the confusion over the missing set. Though it had never announced the set recolor in an official capacity, many players were hoping the set would be added sometime. The speed and transparency with whichWorld of Warcraftaddressed the issuewas appreciated by many, regardless of whether they hoped to collect the set themselves.

That said, plenty ofWorld of Warcraftplayers are reigning in their excitement for now. While some players are optimistic that the set will be added in a new quest in the future–especially considering some NPCs in the Patch 10.2 PTR are wearing it–others fear it could be offered for real money on the cash shop orviaWoW’s Trading Post. Additionally, several other old Heritage Armor sets, like the Lightforged Draenei and Nightbourne, have unreleased recolors players hope are added as well. Hopefully,World of Warcraftcan eventually make all of these fantastic armor sets available for all players in the future.
