One of gaming’s most iconic and funny glitches seems to have returned inWatch Dogs Legion. The game just launched over the past 24 hours, but already fans have found a bug inWatch Dogs Legionthat resembles one from a totally different Ubisoft game.
Assassin’s Creed Unitysaw mixed reviewswhen it launched in 2014, and part of that was thanks to the game being filled with issues and glitches. It is remembered to this day as a very buggy game, while other titles in the series are remembered for their interesting story, world-building, and more. And now the game’s most hilarious, hideous, and horrifying glitch seems to have returned, but inWatch Dog’s Legion.

The"no face glitch" inAssassin’s Creed Unityis creepy to look at and extremely memorable. The bug saw characters in the game rendered without faces, with eyes and a mouth often being the only thing visible on what should be a character’s face. As the game itself was so buggy, the “no face glitch” ended up being the mascot of the game in many ways. Now a player has found an eerily similar-looking bug inWatch Dogs Legion.
The bug is absolutely horrifying, but also quite hilarious, and it is found when selecting the first operator. The player who posted the glitch on Reddit made the comment that it is not a bug, but in fact an Ubisoft easter egg. Of course, the developers would prefer a glitch-free game, but it is certainly funny that one ofvideo game’s most memorable glitcheshas returned, and in an Ubisoft game again no less.
Watch Dogs Legionhas reviewed wellthus far, but the game has only been out for a day. The hope is that players enjoy the experience over the weekend and beyond, and that no more major problems present themselves in terms of glitches. Small visual hiccups may be expected in an open-world game, but if problems start popping up that hurt the experience as a whole, that would not do well forLegion’s reputation.
That being said, the no face glitch is seemingly one of the smaller issues forWatch Dogs Legion. One bug that has been discoveredcauses the Xbox One X to overheat and shutdownduring a specific mission. A patch has already gone live to fix the bug, so players likely won’t have issues when exploring London.
Watch Dogs Legionis available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The game will launch with the Xbox Series X on November 10 and the PS5 on November 24.
