Choosing careers inWarhammer Vermintide 2is difficult for every character, but Kerillian takes the cake as the most difficult to choose for. With a ranged spellcaster, an unorthodox frontline tank, an archer, and a stealth specialist, players can make a case for any one of these careers being the best.

Add in the perfect loadout and the decision isn’t any clearer. This is a testament to the class balancing inWarhammerVermintide 2. However, there is one specific build that does thrive in every circumstance while the rest of the career builds fulfill only very specific roles.
Career
The Shade is powerful at stealth but often comes up lackluster in damage again both hordes and bosses. The Handmaiden is to play as a makeshift tank, but traditional tanks like the Ironbreaker regularly outperform her in terms of holding enemy attention. The Sister of the Thorn is a unique spellcaster but herOvercharge is difficult to manageand her career skill gets in the way as often as it functions correctly.

That leaves Waystalker as the best choice for Kerillian. It’s got fantastic damage against both hordes and monsters combined with some of the best support capabilities around. Squads that have a good Waystalker know they’re going to stay healed and have no issue with damage numbers. Throughout a long game, the Waystalker’s versatility is too good to pass up. If players areusing bots for solo play, she’s one of the top squad members to bring along.

Deal 20% more damage to staggered enemies. Each hit against a staggered enemy adds another count of stagger. Headshots and critical hits instead inflict 40% bonus damage, as do strikes against enemies afflicted by more than one stagger effect.

Piercing Shot
Trueshot Volley fires one piercing shot dealing heavy damage. Headshot refunds 100% cooldown.
The selection of Piercing Shot may be somewhat controversial as it requires getting a headshot to refund the cooldown. But if it lands, players get to immediately use their career skill again. Consider that the shot, as is, fires three arrows. So if players can get two headshots with the ability, they haven’t lost anything; if they get more, they gain even more.

To make the Waystalker one ofthe best classes in the game, remember that her support abilities are as important as her damage. Being able to share Amaranthe is overpowered, healing all party members if they get below half health automatically.

The Moonfire Bow can kill any non-boss/monster in a single hit, even with a light strike body shot. Assuming players have acquired the best gear in the game and are playing at the top power level, this is too good of an advantage to pass up. Gamers that play on Cataclysm may want to change bows, but for anything else, this is the best.
The game is longand players will get sick of many classes that they play. The Waystalker is a happy exception after she’s got her ideal equipment as she can be in charge of damage and support, giving her a dynamic playstyle. This build is an absolute boss-killer but the horde-clearing capabilities are still there, especially if the user can line up headshots.
