Given how difficult certain stages inWanted: Deadcan be, it’s only natural that some players might want to unwind a little between missions. Rather than taking a break from the game entirely though, they may instead want to check out some of the title’svarious mini-games, which range from a somewhat standard target practice challenge to a bizarre ramen-eating rhythm game.

All of the mini-games inWanted: Deadcan be accessed via Police HQ, which players will find themselves exploring between stages. After playing these games for the first time, they’ll also be unlocked on the main menu, though playing them from here doesn’t seem to reward players with SP or items as it does in the main game, so players should keep this in mind.

How to Unlock Every Mini-Game in Wanted: Dead

There are five different mini-games inWanted: Dead, with most having a few different variations to choose from. Players will first be able to play them afterbeating the Spider Tank boss at the end of stage one, after which, they’ll be able to check them out at any point between missions. In fact, the game automatically has players try out each mini-game at certain points, ensuring that they’ll all be unlocked on the main menu before players have started stage three.

All but one of the mini-games inWanted: Deadcan be found in the break room on the fourth floor of Police HQ. The odd one out is Target Practice, which is opposite the Gunsmith’s office on the third floor. Those who want to get started on the mini-games right away can do so by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right while on the game’s title screen, which is also how players canunlock the secret difficulty setting inWanted: Dead.

Shooting Range

Accessed via the room opposite the Gunsmith’s office, Shooting Range features three different modes.Time Attackrequires players to shoot targets as quickly as possible, whileScore Attackhas them trying to get as many points as possible in sixty seconds.Practiceis a little different, with players able to keep going for as long as they like just toget a feel for each of the weapons. Beating the Gunsmith’s scores in the first two modes will unlock her rifle for use in the main story, though only if players recorded their scores after accessing Target Practice from Police HQ.

Crane Game

The Crane Game can be found in the fourth-floor break room and allows players to win special items, including collectible figurines of the game’s main cast of characters and new tracks for the Ramen-eating mini-game. There are two different machines available, both of which operate exactly as one might expect from a crane game. Players can also kick the machines to make prizes drop out, though doing so too many times will lead to the machines resetting.

Ramen

Ramen is a rhythm-based mini-game in which players must press buttons to eat their ramen as quickly as possible. There are no rewards for doing so other than SP, which players can use topurchase upgrades for the playable protagonist Hannah Stone. There are 12 different tracks available, though, initially, players will only have access to one of them, with the other 11 needing to be unlocked via the aforementioned crane game.

Karaoke

Karaoke is anotherrhythm-based gamelike Ramen, only this time there is just one track available: a rather special cover of 99 Luftballons by Nina. The singing here is pretty bad, though it just might be the only point in the entire game when the voice actors sound like they are having fun, so it’s arguably worth checking out just for that. It does drag on a bit, but players can thankfully quit at any time simply by hitting the pause button and selecting the “Quit Minigame” option.

Space Runaway

Easily the best mini-game inWanted: Dead,Space Runawayis anultra-hard shoot-em-upthat pays homage to some of the great quarter-gobbling arcade games of yesteryear. The game has two difficulty modes, with Hard mode becoming available once players have beaten the game on Normal. Alternatively, players can unlock it right from the get-go simply by pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right while on theSpace Runawaytitle screen.
