The release date ofThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunton the Switch is fast approaching, but some lucky gamers may be able to play this title sooner than most. Walmart has apparently broken the street date for the RPG, and those that chance upon it at their local Walmart can buy it right now.
Of all games to break the street date,The Witcher 3is probably the most acceptable one. CD Projekt Red’s massive RPG has been out for over four years on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with theSwitch version ofThe Witcher 3releasing October 15. However, it can be upsetting for those that still need to wait until next Tuesday to playThe Witcher 3on the go.

Regardless ofThe Witcher 3on Switch’s actual release date, some people are reporting that the Complete Edition is already on some Walmart store shelves. While it may not be possible for the cashiers to actually ring up the game now, it’s worth the try to get this title over a week early. There is no knowing which Walmarts may have broken the street date and which haven’t, so the only way to know is to head over and check.

Granted, this is a title that’s often considered one of the best games of the generation. FromThe Witcher 3’s approach to side queststo a well-loved story, there’s plenty to look forward to here, and it’s understandable that those who missed the game on the other consoles would want to play it on the Switch as soon as they’re able.
The series is so successful that there’s even going to bea Netflix series onThe Witcher. Needless to say, though, Switch owners will be able to enjoy this well-loved RPG very soon.
