2021 continues to reveal video games in development set in theWarhammeruniverse, and now virtual reality gameWarhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfallgets a CGI trailer for fans to dissect. Last yearWarhammerfans were treated to the announcement of another game set in the Age of Sigmar time period,Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground, thoughStorm Groundis a turn-based strategy title. It was speculated last year thatStorm Groundwould feature combat between the Stormcast Eternals and the dreaded Nighthaunts, andTempestfallseems to have the same idea.

The Age of Sigmar setting comes after the destruction of the Old World, as the God-King of humankind, Sigmar, is guided to theMortal Realmsby the celestial drake Dracothion. Four great alliances are formed (Order, Chaos, Death, Destruction) and Sigmar’s elite warriors, the Stormcast Eternals, set out to claim the Mortal Realms for the forces of Order. Split into eight different realms, one of these realms is Shyish, the Realm of Death, and it is here thatWarhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfalltakes place.
