Student hygiene is important inTwo Point Campus. Students will start to feel unhappy if they don’t have enough access to facilities like showers, sinks, and hand sanitizers. Keeping students happy is vital for the success of any university, so players should keep an eye on student hygiene levels, especially as they start to expand into new campus buildings.

Luckily, it’s really easy to encourage stinky students to wash. A lot of problems inTwo Point Campuscan be avoided in the building process with strategically placed facilities so that students don’t have to travel too far to visit them. If student hygiene levels are dipping, the chances are that they don’t have enough time to visit a bathroom or shower block between classes. Reduce the amount of distance that they have to travel, and they’re more likely to squeeze in a shower before heading off to the library.

7Assess Student Hygiene Levels

Players can figure out student hygiene levels by going to the Campus Overview and scrolling over to the Student Overview screen. The general hygiene of students is located on the left-hand side (under ‘Needs’). It’s important to get the bar as full as possible, so if it’s low, players can fix it by adding a few more items and building facilities like shower blocks.

Players can also assess individual student hygiene levels by clicking on a student, then going to the ‘Mood’ screen. This is a good way of making sure that each student is happy, although it does take some time to go through all of them, so it’s usually easier to look at the student population as a whole in the Student Overview screen.

6Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is essential. They increase hygiene, they don’t cost a lot ($500 each), and they’re pretty easy to slot in wherever players need them to go. Ideally, each room should have one.

It’s best to place hand sanitizers in several places in each campus building. It’s better to have them spread out rather than all clustered together in one place. This makes it really easy for students to top up their hygiene levels wherever they are without having to traipse to a bathroom or shower block.

5Sinks

Players should ensure that there are plenty of sinks in the bathrooms. It increases hygiene, and it’s an easy way for students to freshen up. They cost $600 each, and they’re easy to place.

attempt to place one sink per toilet, so even at busy times, students (and staff members) don’t have to wait to wash their hands. Bathrooms should be convenient for students to access no matter where they are, and there should be plenty of them if players are running a few courses at once.

4Shower Blocks

Shower blocks are essential! If players forget to build showers, students will develop green stink clouds around them, which is not very pleasant. Shower blocks are necessary, and players will need to build more than one as they start to buy new campus buildings.

Shower cubicles are a little more pricey at $1,500, but they offer a huge boost in hygiene, which means students can go for longer without needing to take care of their hygiene levels again.

3Bins

Every room in every building should have a bin (and it’s worth placing them near vending machines and food outlets, too). Bins increase campus hygiene and will makestudents feel happierwith their surroundings.

Bins require maintenance, so players will need to hire enough janitors to keep on top of them. Some students will help out by emptying bins from time to time, depending on theirpersonality type. Other students and staff haveBin Blindness, so the more helpful students are really useful to have around!

2Janitors

Janitors are essential! They will clean and repair shower cubicles, repair toilets, and empty bins: all important jobs to keep students happy.

Plus, they do a lot of other important jobs on campus. They restock vending machines, clean up trash from the ground, and mop up the occasional puddle of vomit in the Student Union.

They can be trained to gain special skills, including Security, which players will need toremove invaders from campus, and Mechanics, which can unlock machinery upgrades. Look out for janitors with the ‘Rapid’ and ‘Squeaky Clean’Staff Traits, which are really useful. Janitors with these traits will move faster and clean more efficiently.

1Check The Beds

This sounds strange, but it’s a good idea to check out the dorm rooms from time to time. After a while, they’ll start to smell bad (players will be able to tell by those telltale green stink clouds again).

Some items inTwo Point Campusrequirerepairs or maintenance. Beds need maintenance, so players will need to call a janitor to change the sheets. Doing this will make students much happier. After all, no one likes sleeping on gross sheets!
