To Your Eternityseason two, episode six, “Heretics Betrayed”, starts right were we left off. Kahaku has just proposed to Fushi, who is kind of following what that means and loosely knows what the concept of marriage entails. As Kahaku enthusiastically states that he’ll gladly teach Fushi, he hugs him while he is in Parona’s form. To Fushi’s surprise, he has to run away and throw up, coming to the realization that Parona herself would not consent to this.
Kahaku follows Fushi and grabs him as the immortal transforms into multiple different people to try and get away. He is chased all the way to Todo’s tent while she is embroidering a new handkerchief. Fushi, in a fury, explains that Parona was tortured and murdered by Kahaku’s ancestor, Hayase -whom his clan of Guardians venerates very much. Fushi holds nothing back in explaining his disgust and frustration with Kahaku, and Kahaku, visibly struggling to compose himself, formally thanks Fushi for sharing this history and, like the other successors of Hayase before him, promises to leave him alone.
