The 2022 game is now set to receive its first comic book tie-in series this summer. CalledTiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Land of the Giants, the newly announced graphic novel collection stems from a collaboration betweenEmbracer Group subsidiary Dark Horse Comicsand Gearbox Entertainment, which Take-Two Interactive bought from Embracer in early April 2024. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Land of the Giantsis written by Marvel Comics veteran Paul Tobin, who penned a narrative that will see a number of new characters “commit heinous acts of awesomeness” on their quest to chase down a bounty on a giant called Hilly the Kid. Tiny Tina and multiple other established characters from the game will also be making an appearance in the comic book series, all illustrated by Italian artist and long-time Dark Horse Comics collaborator Luisa Russo. Deron Bennett, known for his work onMasters of the Universe: Revelationand theOverwatch: New Bloodcomic, will be handling the lettering.

Tina’s Wonderlands: Land of the Giants Details

The first issue ofTiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Land of the Giantsis scheduled to be released on August 14. Pre-orders are now open at local comic book stores, priced at $3.99. Two more volumes are planned to debut in the near future, though Dark Horse Comics has yet to treat them to concrete release dates. While the subsequent issues are likely to retail at the same price point, the publisher has yet to officially confirm their pricing and availability details.

Given the timing of this announcement, it is likely thatTiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Land of the Giantswas already in the works well beforeEmbracer agreed to sell Gearbox Entertainment to Take-Two Interactivein April 2024. The $460 million deal saw Take-Two label 2K Games secure the rights to theBorderlandsfranchise, among other Gearbox properties. And whileLand of the Giantsis still being handled by an Embracer subsidiary, it is unclear if prospective future comic book tie-ins to the series will necessarily be handled by Dark Horse Comics.
