A Reddit user named pluralpluralpluralp has shared a video that begins with them getting summoned to fight Maliketh inElden Ring. The host is already fighting the boss as they enter the arena, and the three players start working on depleting Maliketh’s health bar. As it turns out, the Draconic Tree Sentinel can use the lightning strike attack from outside the arena, allowing the enemy to hit players fighting Maliketh. This happens multiple times throughout the video, as the player dies to three lighting strikes without ever getting a chance to attack the boss.

It looks like other users have experienced similar events while playingElden Ringin co-op, with one fan stating that they leave the game if the host runs past the Draconic Tree Sentinel. Another gamer mentions that they have never seen the Draconic Tree Sentinel persistently attacking in such a manner, while some others previously thought the enemy couldn’t land attacks inside the arena.

While many users state that the host should havefought the Draconic Tree Sentinelbefore initiating the Maliketh battle, one questions why pluralpluralpluralp didn’t use a healing flask after getting hit a couple of times. One gamer also claims to only useElden Ring’s co-op feature to battle the Draconic Tree Sentinel, as they prefer to fight Maliketh on their own. Overall, it looks like a lot of hosts run past this enemy as they seem to be focusing on the major boss of the level, prompting someElden Ringusers to leave the fight in case the Draconic Tree Sentinel is still alive.

Elden Ringis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
