EA Games was probably not intending to add inflammable toilets toThe Simsfranchise, but following the update on June 3rd,The Sims 4players are noticing flames jumping out of their toilet bowls.

The hilarious bug was pointed out by Reddit user euphonium_boyshorts, along with a video that shows a male sim interacting with a toilet. As liquid rains down into the bowl, the water itself seems to erupt into flames, which stops as soon as he does. The animation lasts only a few seconds, but a couple of seconds is enough to notice and laugh. The Sims 4has had funny bugs in the past, such as when theGet to WorkDLC made male abducted sims pregnant, but players can’t resist good toilet humor.

Looking into the features that were added in the last update, most likely the pyrotechnic pee has to do with the reintroduction of the Firefighter NPC from versions past. As before, a Fire Alarm (or calmly placed telephone call) will summon them to a Sim’s house to put out the fire. Players can also click the fire itself directly to call the fire department, a convenient change that may prevent (or at least postpone) a visit from the Grim Reaper.

The update brought other non-combustive features as well. Players who have theVampires Game Packwill be pleased to know that they can now set their doors to “no trespassing”, so Vlad will no longer be able to sneak in and give Sims an unwelcome kiss on the neck. They can also send visitors home when they overstay their welcomes.

Other changes that came with the new update include patterns for various building materials like wallpaper and fences that will affect how the lot itself can be played. Different floor patterns will affect how puddles and fires spread, along the lines of carpet soaking up spills and stone pavers not being affected by fire. Uncovered drywall now provides a negative effect on mood, giving players more incentive to decorate. It’s time to look up themost beautiful houses in The Simsto draw inspiration.

Lots get a range of new features inanticipation of theEco LifestyleDLC. Bills can now be accessed by the phone or mailbox, featuring a detailed breakdown of utilities such as water and power. Ladders are now available alongside stairs. When placing doors and windows, players can now hold the Alt key while dragging to smoothly position them exactly where needed.

“Off-the-Grid” lots got the lion’s share of the updates, making this trait interact directly with the new billing system. When Sims are consuming more utilities than they are producing, bills will show up. When their energy production is more than consumption, the lot will function off-the-grid as before. Sims can now “add ice” to fridges, gather water from fishing spots or waterfalls, receive positive or negative moodlets from off-the-grid life based on their personality, and even “use elbow grease” on dirty objects. There’s even a whole new Build category just for homes that have the trait.

EA Games will be releasing theSims 4 Eco Lifestyletomorrow, June 5th, and the bug will likely be fixed by then. So anyone wanting to experience flaming toilets had better hurry.

Players don’t need to worry about their toilets setting their houses on fire. The fire does not spread, so the bug itself won’t affect gameplay.

The Sims 4is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
