The Sims 4’s latest expansion, Cottage Living, willofficially be released July 22 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. Players can preorder this title right now and can download and play it upon its release in July. As an expansion toThe Sims 4, players need to own the main game to play Cottage Living.The Sims 4is currently listed at $39.99 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
This is the 2014 title’s 11th major expansion and the latest one since November 2020. Players predicted quite a few possibilities for this addition of new content, but its emphasis is now clearly known.The Sims 4Cottage Livingexpansion brings players to the countryside and allows them to recreate a farming lifestyle. This includes bringing players to a brand new location, Henford-on-Bagley, which resembles a simple, small town.

What Is Sims 4 Cottage Living?
This expansion adds in animals such as chickens, llamas, and cows for players to own and raise. And player actions can actually affect what these animals produce. For example, players can change the flavor of milk or even the color of a llama’s fur in their quest to complete challenges. In addition to this,The Sims 4players will participatein rural activities such as growing crops, entering their produce in contests, visiting the local pub, and making farm-fresh meals.
Players ofThe Sims 4have already witnessedseveral different content drops as well as full-blown expansions. Cottage Living falls into the latter category and, as such, costs $39.99 or $34.99 for those who have EA Play. According to EA, this expansion toThe Sims 4is available to preorder on Origin and Steam right now and on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Cottage Living is coming out in just about a month from this post. Players who purchase this additional content before September 2 will also get “Gnomeful Exclusives.” This includes the Scenic Commuting Bicycle, the Adventurous Gnome sculpture, and other Gnome-related additions and items. The previous expansion for this game was Snowy Escape which dropped for players back in November of 2020. That pack added snow-themed trips as well as allowed players' Sims to participate in Winter Sports.
Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 owners can download and play this expansion on the same day, July 22, at the same time. EA confirmed a while back thatThe Sims 4is playable on both next-generation consoles. Not only this, but the game should have improvements concerning frames per second and loading screen times.
The Sims 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
