While Eddy was confirmed to be DLC shortly before the game’s launch, Bandai Namco has nows provided the exact date of when players can pick him up, with fans not needing to wait long either.
In a newTekken 8trailer, Bandai Namco revealed that Eddy Gordo has two different release dates, with early access players getting him on April 1, and the official release date being on April 4. Owners ofTekken 8’s Playable Character Year 1 Pass will get the chance to play with Eddy three days ahead of everyone else. The Playable Character Year 1 Pass is included for players who purchasedTekken 8’s Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, or the Deluxe Edition Upgrade Pack. Eddy Gordo’s addition coincides with the release of the version 1.03.01 patch.

Eddy Gordo’s trailer gave fans insight into his classicCapoeira fighting style, compared to pastTekkentitles. Eddy is a character with tricky gameplay that relies on fast strikes and different stances. The trailer shows him having a special intro with Nina Williams, along with some sort of special property that involves him building up wind. Eddy’s Rage Art has him summoning wind, trapping his opponent in a storm, and kicking them while spectral figures cheer him on.
With Eddy’s addition to the roster, there are three characters left to be revealed inTekken 8’s first year DLC pass. Leaks from earlier this year suggestedTekken 8’s DLC will contain two returning fighters fromTekken 7, Fahkumram and Lidia Sobieska. Craig Marduk, another fan favorite and highly requestedTekken 8DLC character, is also rumored to be a part of the Year 1 DLC pass. Fans will need to wait until more official information from Bandai Namco is provided. For the time being, fans are excited to play asTekken’s iconic Capoeria martial arts practicioner.
