Reflections On The Last 10 Years Of Summoners War
Summoners War’s 10th anniversary sees it join the ranks ofgames that turned 10 years old, something that’s no small feat in an industry where games come and go all the time. Kim reflected on the last 10 years ofSummoners Waras being the highlight of his life, and spoke about what he thinks keeps players coming back to the game:
Summoners Warhas very powerful objectives, which I believe drives people to continue playing. Our game’s main objectives are enticing to players, such as desiring to collect nice Runes, summon and grow gorgeous Monsters, and win while fighting with other users in content such as Siege Battle and World Arena.
Kim also reflected on the game’s biggest moments over the last decade. While he said it is impossible to choose just one with so many memories, he mentioned moments such as the game’s launch and the first time SWC took place,Summoners War’s globalesports tournamentwhere Summoners compete in the World Arena.

Outside the game, Han also mentioned several offline events are taking place across Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Southeast Asia, and that he hopes to convey the team’s gratitude to the community and create “cherished memories offline.” Beyond the celebrations, there is also even more forSummoners Warfans to look forward to, as more projects are “in the works” to expand the game’s universe and story, including webtoons, comics, and animations.
Han also talked about the new features incorporated to help onboardnewSummoners Warplayersinto the game, which he acknowledges could feel quite tricky for some players to get into with 10 years of content to catch up on. As Han explained:
It may be difficult for new users to adjust to the 10-year difference, but in addition to the SUMMONER 10x10 FESTIVAL, we have expanded events for new users, created special shops, and enhanced rewards. We hope that, with these many events and benefits, new users can soon settle in and enjoySummoners War.
