WhenSnowbreak Containment Zoneinitially launched, the game already had asizable roster of 18 playable characters. Out of the 18 playable characters, six of them were orange-tier (5*) characters, while the remaining 12 characters were purple-tier (4*). Since launch, the game has been updated multiple times and has added another two orange-tier characters and one additional purple-tier character, with more on the way with each passing update.
While this article sets out toestablish an informative tier listto assist players onwho to prioritize and attempt to pull for, it is very important to mention that every single character inSnowbreak: Containment Zoneis entirely viable and competitive. Even if a character is given a low-ranking position on this list, that is just a sign of how particularly well the higher-rated characters perform and the utility of the builds that they offer. Players should not walk away from this tier list with the idea that any character is bad or not worth pulling becauseall of them are good, and players should simply build who they like the most or whose play style fits them best.

S-Tier Characters in Snowbreak: Containment Zone
The highest tier of this list will be S-Tier, and characters who appear in this ranking excel at what they do. Whether they offer a ton of damage or some of the best utility in the game, players can rest assured that the characters that land here are amazing additions to their account.
Haru - Absconditus
Haru Absconditus is the newest addition to theSnowbreak: Containment Zoneroster, and in typical gacha fashion, that means she is very good. Haru Absconditus is a kinetic pistol DPS unit that excels at assassinating enemies with low HP and also offers decent crowd control capabilities. Her placing in this tier list is made even stronger by the fact that while her banner lasts, she is very easy to build due to the event running alongside her providing her with a free weapon and logistics that synergize with her kit exceedingly well.
Chenxing - Ethereal Cloud
Much like Haru Absconditus, Chenxing Ethereal Cloud offers players an absurd amount of damage output. Chenxing Ethereal Cloud is an electric DPS that uses assault rifle-style weaponry. She excels at doing a lot of damage at once by using her “Silk Spiritual Slip” skill which essentially marks enemies (multiple times for big enemies) and does multiple damage outputs on the marks. Chenxing will clear additional mobs very fast and can do large amounts of damage to even the largest HP bosses in the game.
Acacia - Kaguya
Acacia Kaguya was the first limited orange-tier character ever released and still holds her own even against the newest additions to the roster. This pistol-wielding frost DPS and crowd-control unit will spam her skill until the enemies are destroyed or otherwise helpless, and her pistol shots are nothing to ignore either. Kaguy has the capabilities to reduce the enemy’s speed as well as outright freeze them, and she’s a very good addition to any team.
Yao - Winter Solstice
Yao Winter Solstice is a sniper unit that deals thermal damage and has some of the absolute largest single-target damage in the entire game. There’s been some debate over whether Yao deserves to be at the top of tier lists or not due to her primary focus on single-target DPS, but this unit will trivialize boss fights in a way that no other unit quite can.
A-Tier Characters in Snowbreak: Containment Zone
Where S-Tier units are absurdly powerful, the units found in A-Tier are still quite amazing but perhaps can’t quite compete with the ones above. Many of theseunits will also be more support-oriented, and although they won’t be dealing as much damage as the units above, it would be a mistake to not consider them for your teams.
Siris - The Goldfish
Siris is an adorable and powerful shotgun-wielding kinetic support unit that will assist and excel in any team she is placed on, even if she quite can’t remember why she is there sometimes. Siris' kit revolves around the use of shields and other things that block incoming damage, all while buffing her own damage output through her various survivability methods. This purple-tier unit is very worth building.
Enya - Big Sis
Enya Big Sis is a thermal damage pistol user who specializes in supporting sniper units, such as Yao Winter Solstice. The reason that she specifically synergizes with snipers well is that she buffs singular shots, meaning that she can turn Yao Winter Solstice’s huge single-target damage into an even greater and impressive damage number.
Fritia - Hush
Fritia Hush is a two-in-one support/DPS hybrid character who uses thermal powers and wields an assault rifle. When on-field, Fritia Hush will excel in doing single-target damage and also providing some small but not useless crowd control. When off-field, however, Fritia will provide the active character with a very powerful shield that can keep players alive during even the toughest boss fights.
Fenny - Coronet
Fenny Coronet is a lighting DPS that specializes in rapidly firing off her shotgun. She has massive single-target damage, can easily pick off mobs in rapid succession, and even has a slight bit of crowd control via her ultimate skill.
Chenxing - The Observer
Unlike the orange-tier variant of Chenxing in S-Tier, this purple-tier variant of Chenxing is not a DPS. Rather, this assault rifle-wielding electric character excels in her support and healing capabilities. Think of Chenxing like some other familiar video game characters, she places down turrets and watches as they drain the lives of the surrounding enemies. Compared to another gacha, she is somewhat similar toGenshin Impact’sYae Miko,if Yae Miko had white hair and could heal. Chenxing will also offer some much-appreciated buffs to a player’s team.
Acacia - Redacted
Acacia Redacted, much like her previously mentioned orange-tier unit, offers some extremely powerful crowd control while also offering impressive damage. This specific Acacia still wields pistols, but this time does chaos damage as opposed to the former’s frost damage.
Lyfe - Wild Hunt
This wouldn’t be a good tier list ifSnowbreak’smain protagonist wasn’t included in it somewhere, and she has finally arrived here in the A-Tier. Lyfe Wild Hunt is a frost DPS and crowd control unit who wields a sub-machine gun, and when she enters the field, players can rest assured that enemies are going to spend a lot of time frozen. Playing Wild Hunt in co-op matches will provide a service to the other players in the match.
B-Tier and Below
While the rest of the characters didn’t quite make it into the two top tiers, players should keep in mind that they are still very good. As previously mentioned, there truly is no going wrong when it comes toSnowbreak: Containment Zone, every character is going to do their job and do it well. Players are encouraged to choose who they like to play based on play style, design, and personality, and to use this tier list only as a general guide on what characters excel at what. The characters located in these two tiersmay need duplicates to competeor may be overly reliant on the stage and enemies at hand.
Snowbreak: Containment Zoneis now available on Mobile and PC.
