How To Make Potions
Potions are made at alchemy tables. They are located throughoutSkyrimin alchemy shopsand inns. Players can purchase one for their homes in the base game along with the Hearthfire expansion. Combine two ingredients to make a potion. Ingredients can be purchased at alchemy stores and found throughout the open world. Every ingredient has four properties. Eat and combine ingredients to learn them all. Combining two ingredients with the same property will bestow that effect on the resulting potion. Some ingredients carry poisonous properties so pay attention to the potions that are created.
Health Regeneration Ingredients
Garlic
Garlic is found hanging to dry in many homes and inns throughoutSkyrim.Look for them near any hanging braids of elves ear or frost mirriam. 24 guaranteed samples are located in the Thalmor Embassy to the north of Solitude. 11 samples can also be found inside House Gray-mane in Whiterun.
Juniper Berries
These berries are harvested from small trees in westernSkyrim.Search Markarth for the most guaranteed samples. Five are located in the Temple of Dibella, four in the Treasury House, and three in the Hag’s Cure.
Luna Moth Wing
Moth wings can be found by catching Luna Moths. Five guaranteed samples are located in the Nightcaller Temple overlooking Dawnstar. Search in and around Rorikstead from 8 pm to 11 pm. Locations that spawn butterflies during the day will most likely yield moths at night.
Namira’s Rot
This is a fungus found in most caves. Three guaranteed samples are at Toevald’s Cave north of Riften. Search around the Falkreath Brotherhood Sanctuary to find some Namira’s Rot plants.
Nordic Barnacle
Barnacles arefound on clusters underwater.Four guaranteed samples are located in the Arch-Mage’s Quarters in the College of Winterhold. Search near shipwrecks like Hela’s Folly northeast of Dawnstar.
Vampire Dust
Vampire Dust is dropped by all vampire enemies. Play theDawnguard questline to slay many vampires.Two guaranteed samples can be found in Drelas' Cottage south of Morthal. Two more are located inside the Mortar and Pestle alchemy shop in Dawnstar.
