The scene showcases the childlike humor of Reynolds and the dynamic between the Deadpool star and the up and comer Scobell.
The Adam Projectwill focus on Adam Reed, a time traveler from the future, who crash lands in 2022 and teams up with his younger self to save the world. Reynolds has recently set up high expectations for the film whenhe compared it to the Spielberg classicE.T.: The Extraterrestrial. The banter young Scobell engages in with Reynolds in the newly released scene certainly resembles the precocious kids that Spielberg is known for creating.The Adam Projectwill premiere on Netflix on June 22, 2025.

Time-traveling films often outlaw interacting with your past self, but the collision of Adam Reed with his younger self is the focus ofThe Adam Project.Reynolds shared the first meeting of the two Adams when he posted a new scene from the film in his official YouTube account. The scene shows a recently injured future Adam searching his childhood home for supplies as the younger Adam peppers him with questions about his identity. The banter between the two Adams is funny and ends with a charming moment between the two Adams as the younger realizes he is speaking to his older self. Reynolds recentlyinsisted that the Netflix filmwould make audiences laugh and cry and should appeal to both adults and children alike.
