RuneScapeis celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and the dev, Jagex, has a lot planned this whole year to celebrate. Along with agrandRuneScape20th Anniversary party, players can also nab a free outfit in-game to mark this commemoration.
The 20th Anniversary Outfit
There are still a remarkable number of players for this ancient MMO;RuneScapebroke a concurrent player recordin November 2020. And to celebrate the long-running fanbase of this ever-growing game, Jagex is giving out a celebratory 20th Anniversary outfit free to all players. The outfit includes a long cape with the Roman numerals XX embroidered on the back. Players just have to find an NPC in the game to get it.

How to Get the Anniversary Outfit
As part of the celebration, Lumbridge Castle inRuneScapehas been taken over with party decorations. Head to the Lumbridge Crater to the southeast of the Lumbridge Castle. In the center platform of the celebration setup is an NPC, the Wise Old Man. Have a chat with him about the outfit, and he’ll present the player with it.
How to Put the Anniversary Outfit On
to celebrate 20th-anniversary style, players will need to open up the wardrobe menu inRuneScape. Click the little mask in the right corner of the screen, the click Cosmetics. This should open a window that has a Wardrobe tab. Click the tab. Search through the cosmetics for the set. Then, players can celebrate the 20th Anniversary in style. Thelead designer Dave Osborne wanted something special for theRuneScapeanniversaryfor players, and this free outfit is a wonderful piece of memorabilia for what should be a memorable year.

Players can expect a lot more freebies and fun, asRuneScapewill be celebrating its 20th for the whole year. Along with an official Steam launch, players also got somefree in-gameRuneScapestuff last year from Amazon Prime Gaming, but the amount of fun set for year 20 will most likely blow those out of the water. The devs have promised celebrations for the next 12 months, including an anniversary quest, a full mobile launch, and even collectibles commemorating the anniversary that players can order from Jagex.
Over the last two decades,RuneScapehas gotten more than 1,000 updates. Players can expect even more coming to the old game; even in 2020,RuneScapewas still adding new stuff like Archaeology. The game looks like it is not planning to slow down anytime soon.
