Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eateris consistently hailed as one of the series' best entries, and one of the best games that came from the PS2 era. Recent rumors indicate that anMetal Gear Solid 3remake is in development at Konami, marking the return of this legendary game.
The originalMGS3was released in 2004, and dramatically switched up the signature stealth gameplay theMetal Gearfranchise had been known for until that point.MGS3moves players out of the highly fortified, futuristic military camps of the previous games, and into the jungles of the USSR during the Cold War; players were no longer dodging camera sight lines or disarming infra-red laser barriers, they were manually changing Naked Snake’s clothing to increase his “camouflage index,” and hunting animals to restore his health and stamina. Many versions ofMetal Gear Solid 3have been released over the years, but after the release ofMetal Gear Survive, it looked like Konami wasn’t going to make another title.
