Postal 4: No Regerts, the sequel to a game dubbed as The Worst Game Ever, finally has a release date on a day that could not be more fitting. Patient fans who have waited 11 years since the previous title or have been waiting on early access development to finish up can expect to playPostal 4: No Regertsin a matter of weeks.
Game development studio Running With Scissors has a long and storied history as an off-beat and irreverent studio creating comically violent games, with itsinfamousPostalgamesoften being the subject of controversy due to their over-the-top use of violence. Running With Scissors returns to thePostalfranchise after 2011’s negative reception ofPostal 3,which the studio has since playfully denounced.

The team announced that the official release date forPostal 4: No Regertsis April 20.Postal 4has been in early accesssince October 2019, making update 1.0 the official full release for early access backers of the game. Update 1.0 brings with it the voices ofPostal 1and2’s Rick Hunter andPostal 3’s Corey Cruise as selectable voice options inPostal 4. Additionally, update 1.0 will feature a grappling hook, improved errands, more side content, cutscene improvements, and much more. As a franchise that goes all the way back to 1997, it comes as no surprise that Running With Scissors has also stated its intent to supportPostal 4for years to come. Planned features include new weapons, co-op, andSteam Deck support. On Steam, the game sits at a “Very Positive” rating among user reviews. Early backers are enthusiastic about the shooter, andPostal 4has managed to graduate from early access to full release. All fairly positive indicators that this game could, in fact, be the definitivePostalexperience for the modern era.
Postal 4: No Regretsis currently only available in early access on PC via Steam. Unfortunately, a console port does not appear to be in the works, at least not for now. Notably, thePostalseries has found its way to consolesin the past, with PlayStation 4 and Switch receiving ports of the original game. Historically, thePostalseries of games has never been received positively among critics, with the series being more of a cult hit. It remains to be seen how successfulPostal 4could be after its full release and if some newfound success could lead to the game coming to more platforms in the future.
