Podcasting continues to increase in popularity onTwitchas more content creators delve into the long-form content. Recently, popular livestreamers Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Felix “xQc” Lengyel were all set to begin their own podcast. Perhaps due to a miscommunication, their podcast trial episode fell through, and Pokimane may be looking at otherTwitchstreamers as potential hosts.

During a recent Twitch livestream, Pokimane confirmed that there was a mix-up with her firstpodcast show with xQc, which was supposed to occur last Saturday. Pokimane suggested that he may have been confused about which Saturday the show was to take place, but the uncertainty of the situation has inspired her to look at other potential podcast co-hosts. While Pokimane has stated that she’s happy to wait for another week to see if xQc is ready to do the podcast pilot episode this Saturday, she’s keeping her options open in her dedication to getting the podcast started.

Pokimane suggested two other popular Twitch streamers that may replace xQc on the upcoming podcast, one is Forsen and the other is One True King memberMizkifwho she’s co-hosted shows in the past. According to Pokimane, the first episode, which should’ve happened on Saturday, was meant to cover topics such as Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars and Reddit’s r/place which blew up on Twitch over the course of several days. More interesting subjects for the podcast to talk about pile-up which has caused Pokimane to say, “There are infinite things. And now I’m like, ‘do I go back to Mizkif? Do I wait for xQc, and we try again maybe next week or the week after?'”

After taking a brief break, xQc has returned to Twitch livestreaming which suggests that he should be able to attend the podcast show with Pokimane on Saturday. Twitch viewers that are looking forward to thePokimane and xQcpodcast may be left waiting beyond April 16 if the two of them can’t line up their schedules again, and they may be greeted by a different co-host when it does eventually happen. Due to the confusion about the podcast with Pokimane and xQc, it’s currently unclear when fans can expect the first episode should things fall through again.

Although Pokimane confirmed to her audience that she’s looking at other hosts for her podcast, she didn’t state whether they would take xQc’s place on the podcast or not. Because Pokimane and xQc came up with their podcast idea together, a replacement host may only be joining her for a few shows before xQc is able to take over. Pokimane and xQc are two ofTwitch’s biggest streamersso if a podcast between the two of them really does happen, the two audiences may combine to create an immense Twitchcommunity.
