10Polteageist
Polteageist has an interesting design, a ghost taking command of a haunted teapot, a very British-inspiredPokemon. Polteageist makes the jump over to Paldea, and it is a welcome addition.
To find this ghost-type inScarlet & Violet, gamers will need to evolve Sinistea, which can be found in South Province (Area Six) and East Province (Area Three). It evolves by using a chipped pot or a cracked pot, depending on form, which can be found in specific locations in Paldea. Polteageist has a fantastic special attack at 134 and it should decimate fellow ghost types with its powerful shadow ball.
9Copperajah
The evolved form of Cufant, Copperajah is a pure steel-type elephant-inspired Pokemon, that made the cut forScarlet & Violet. Copperajah boasts some impressive stats, with a 122 HP and 130 attack. It’s an offensive monster and a great tank for any gamer’s roster.
This Pokemon has a very solid design, with a copper and oxidized copper look, reminiscent of the Statue of Liberty. Found in most areas in the northern part of Paldea, fans won’t have a hard time finding Copperajah. It will not look out of place in any team, and it is an immensely solid steel type in the game.
8Sandaconda
Sandaconda is anotherPokemonthat made the jump from the eighth generation to the ninth and thanks to its 125 defense it is a worthy member of the Paldean Pokedex. It evolves from Sillicobra at level 36.

It can be found in the Asado Desert and West Province (Area Two) and it has a very solid design, looking a lot like a snake with a thicker body, hence why it has a high defense stat. It is a pure ground-type, so it has a lot of weaknesses in the game. Players may want to provide counters if Sandaconda makes it into the team.
7Coalossal
Coalossal has a really solid design. There is something about black and red that really pops on aPokemon. This rock/fire type looks like a golem with a stack of coal on the backhence why it is a fire-type.
ThisPokemoncannot be caught in the game, the only way to acquire it is to evolve it from Carkoal. This and the pre-evolution, Rolycoly can be found in East Province (Area Three) only in the game. Coalossal’s solid design is backed up by its tremendous stats, 120 defense and 110 HP being the highlights. This is rare for a fire-type, but verify to avoid water types with Coalossal as it is quad-weak.
6Grimmsnarl
Grimmsnarl has the unique fact that, with its pre-evolutions, it is the only dark/fairy type that is an amazing combination in the game, immune to both psychic and dragon-type moves. Grimmsnarl has an interesting design, rare for fairy types to look so menacing.

With 120 attack, Grimmsnarl is a beast in the game and gamers should definitely look at it for a spot in their team. Grimmsnarl cannot be caught in the game, so trainers will need to head to Tagtree Thicket to pick up its evolved form Impidimp, evolving it into Morgrem at level 32 and then into the final form at 42.
5Frosmoth
Frosmoth was somewhat of a fan-favorite inPokemon Sword & Shieldwith its pre-evolved form Snom receiving a lot of attention for its cute design. No surprise that it made the cut in Generation 9. With its standout 120 special attack,it will decimate with Ice Beam.
Along with Snom, it is the only ice/bug type in the game which adds a certain uniqueness to thePokemon. Its design is majestic with a beautiful all-white look, it has a lot of weaknesses, however, quad-weak to fire and rock, so make sure to avoid these types when battling with Frosmoth.
4Appletun/Flapple
Both evolutions of Applin are available inScarlet & Violet, evolving into Appletun when exposed to a Sweet Apple or Flapple when exposed to a Tart Apple. An interesting concept inSword & Shieldhas been transferred into this latest generation.

Both evolutions have their perks, and it is up to gamers which way they should go. Both are grass/dragon, however, which is perfect for dragon tamers. Players will need both of these evolutions in order to complete the Pokedex so make sure to catch two Applin. Both the Sweet and Tart Apple can be bought from Delibird Presents Shop in Paldea.
3Toxtricity
The first thing that stands out for Toxtricity is its solid design. It has two forms, Amped and Low Key, which depend on its nature when evolved from Toxel. This electric/poison was a fan-favorite inSword & Shieldcomplete with its signature move, Overdrive.
It is no surprise that this Pokemon was included in the roster for Paldea as it is a great member of any team, with 114 special attack and great all-around stats. Gamers will want to search South Province (Area Four) and South Province (Area Six) in order to find one of these,a solid poisonand electric type inScarlet & Violet.
2Corviknight
Without a doubt one of the most solidPokemondesigns in recent years, a bird knight with dark coloring, piercing red eyes, and solid typing. It is just brilliant.
Resistant to eight different types, steel types are incredible and Corviknight is the pick of the bunch, with 105 defense it will take a lot to get one over on Corviknight. It can be picked up in Area Zero, but itspre-evolved Rookidee and Corvisquitecan be found in South Province (Area Five), and East Province (Area One, Two, and Three). Corviknight really is a must-pick-up.
1Dragapult
The pseudo-legendaryPokemonare always must-pick-ups in the games. InScarlet & VioletBaxcalibar takes this mantle. However, in the previous iteration, Dragapult was a strongPokemonto catch.
This dragon/ghost is an amazingPokemon, with a fantastic design with competitive stats. Unlike in Galar, Dreepy, its first form is really easy to capture since it’s available in various locations around Paldea. ensure to capture one and evolve it into Drakloak at level 50 and then Dragapult at level 60. It really is one of the best ‘mons in the game, destroying all enemies in its path.
