Rotom forms were introduced toPokemon GOback in 2020, with Wash Rotom debuting in that year’s GO Fest. Since then, only one other Rotom type, the Mow form, has been added to the game, and players have been eagerly waiting for the other four forms: the base form, Heat, Fan, and Frost.

How to Get Frost Rotom in Pokemon GO
To catch Rotom’s Frost form, players will need totake a snapshot of a Pokemon in one ofthe 2023 Pokemon GO Fests. Since both London and Osaka Fests have ended, the last chance for getting Rotom-F will be at New York Randall’s Island Park event.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for getting a Frost Rotom encounter:
Pokemon GO New York Fest is a three-day event starting on August 18 and ending on August 20.
It’s unclear if Frost Rotom will be available for other players during the Global GO Fest. However, chances for Niantic to publicly release this Pokemon are thin. Based on the company’s previous decisions, Rotom-F might never become a wild spawn and instead remain an event-exclusive creature.
Frost Rotom Encounter Limit
During the 2023 Pokemon GO Fest,each attendee can encounter up to five Frost Rotom. After the fifth snapshot, Rotom-F will stop spawning, and players will not see it in the wild again.
The only way to catch more than five Frost Rotom in the GO Fest is by trading. Since players will have up to sixSpecial Tradesand the Trading Stardust will be reduced, they can exchange other Pokemon for Rotom-F.
The Best Moveset for Frost Rotom
Asan Electric/Ice Dual-Type, Frost Rotom excels at PvP battles with a moveset ofThunderbolt and Thunder Shock. These moves inflict the greatest damage, making it likelier for Rotom-F to become deadly—despite its overall low CP.
How to Catch Other Forms of Rotom
As of August 2023, only three forms of Rotom are available in Pokemon GO:Wash, Mow, and Frost. Of these, only the last one, Frost Rotom, can be caught during the GO Fest. There’s currently no way to encounter the other forms, and the only way to have them is by trading.
Also, Niantic hasn’t announced any plans for debuting other unique forms of Rotom in Pokemon GO. So, it’s unclear whether players will be able to catch Heat, Fan, or base form of Rotom anytime soon.
