Gen 1 Pokemon have fittingly been part ofPokemon GOsince Niantic first released the AR mobile game back in 2016, but fans have still been clambering to evolve more of the first 151 Pokemon, including the one being celebrated in November.Since the originalPokemonanimeintroduced a giant Dragonite in “Mystery at the Lighthouse,” andPokemon RedandBluemade the Pokemon particularly powerful, fans have tried to get their hands on the Dragon-type Pokemon. With this support fuelingPokemon GOplayers to try to evolve their Dratinis and Dragonairs to compete with friends that already acquired the coveted Dragonite, some trainers have been requesting that Niantic increase spawn rates for the trio of Gen 1 Dragons. Niantic has confirmed thatPokemon GOCommunity Day Classic next month will revolve around Dratini and its final evolution.RELATED:Pokemon GO is About to Become More Expensive for Some PlayersStarting at 2:00 PM local time on November 5 until 5:00 PM,Pokemon GOtrainers will be able to encounter far more Dratini in the wild, with an increased chance of seeing a Shiny version.Pokemon GOplayers that are able to evolve their Dragonair before 7:00 PM on the latestCommunity Day Classicwill get a Dragonite that knows the powerful Charged Attack Draco Meteor. Draco Meteor uses 150 power in both gym, raider, and trainer battles, and it decreases the Dragonite’s attack stat in trainer battles specifically.
Beyond being able to catch Dratini more easily and thus making the track to a fully evolved Dragonite a lot quicker, Niantic will be introducing Special Research for the Community Day Classic that further spotlights the Dragon-typeGen 1 Pokemon.Pokemon GOfans that choose to buy the Special Research story tickets will only be set back $1, and they can gift the same add-on to other players of Great Friend or higher status for the same price. Accompanying the event ticket is a boost to Stardust received upon catching a Pokemon, increased duration to Lure Modules, and improved Incense that will further attract Pokemon to trainers.
Although Dratini has been inPokemon GOsince the beginning, many fans of the Niantic AR game have expressed their enthusiasm for November’s Community Day Classic. Some players have requested that futurePokemon GOCommunity Day Classic daysrevolve around Beldum, Chespin, Larvitar, Magikarp, Mimikyu, Rhyhorn, and Swinub.
