Since its inception in the 1990s, the popularity of thePokemonfranchise has grown substantially, becoming the highest-grossing media franchise in the world. The series' success is due in part to the many Pokemon that fans have come to love, such as the Ghost/Poison-type known as Gengar. Recently, one fan decided to build a gaming PC themed around thisiconic pocket monster from thePokemonseries.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as Lt-Tbone0728 shared a video of a custom gaming rig they recently completed. According to the Reddit user, they had wanted to give their PC gaming setup a Gengar-inspired look. Based on the brief video shared by the creator, they managed to do just that.

While the clip of the Gengar-themed PC lasted only five seconds, it was long enough to show the many aspects of the custom design. For starters, the side of the PC case featured an image of Gengar that the Reddit user had made using a stencil and paint. As Lt-Tbone0728 panned the camera, the inside of the gaming case was seen. Impressively, thePokemontheme continued to the interior of the PC. For example, the Reddit user chose to give the lighting a purple hue, which was appropriate for the pocket monster. In addition, the AIO cooler had an image of theGhost/Poison-type Pokemonon the front of it.

In addition to showing off the build in a picture, the Reddit user revealed the specs for the Gengar-themed PC in the comments, and the list was quite impressive. Among the highlights, Lt-Tbone0728 had included a Zotac Trinity 3080 12GB GPU. In addition, it featured an i7-12700k CPU and 32GB of HyperX Fury DDR4-3200 RAM. According to the creator, one of the reasons they had built the gaming PC was because they wanted toplayPokemon TCG Online.

Since posting this custom Gengar-themed PC to Reddit, it has caught the attention of a number ofPokemonfans. Among the comments, many praised the look of the gaming rig. “WOOOOO looks amazing and so clean!” one user commented on Reddit. In addition, another gamer liked the impressive-looking image of Gengar that was visible on the side of the AIO cooler for presumably the CPU.

Interestingly, this is not the only custom gaming system featuring a Gengar theme. Other talented fans on thePokemonsubreddit have shared their own creations featuring the Ghost/Poison-type pocket monster. For example, one game recently showed off aGengar-themed Game Boy Macro XLthey had made. Given the popularity of this Pokemon, it will likely continue to be the subject of many more custom gaming builds in the days to come.
