Legendary Pokemon Registeel doesn’t have any official pre-evolutions, but onePokemonfan has designed their own. Registeel first debuted in the Generation 3PokemongamesPokemon Ruby and Sapphireand has appeared in various otherPokemongames since then.
ManyPokemongames afterRuby and Sapphireonly made Registeel available through trading, but some have brought the legendary Steel-type back as a native Pokemon. The most recent main seriesPokemongames to feature Registeel arePokemon Sword and Shield, whichadded Registeel as part of The Crown Tundra DLC. Registeel is not available to catch inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, but there’s a chance that could change with the upcoming DLC for the games.

Regardless ifRegisteelshows up inPokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC or not, fans shouldn’t expect any pre-evolutions for the creature. Typically, legendary Pokemon do not have pre-evolutions, but that hasn’t stopped some fans from designing their own. Reddit user cheez_it_boi979 recently created their own pre-evolutions for Registeel by drawing a Pokemon named Regitin that evolves into Regilead, who eventually evolves into Registeel. They even added Pokedex entries for each of the creatures, revealing that Regitin is merely seven inches tall before evolving into the 2'11" Regilead and then finally the 6'03" Registeel.
While there are no pre-evolutions for Registeel in any of thePokemonvideo games, there are at least different “Regi” Pokemon that fans can catch and add to their roster. When Registeel debuted in theGeneration 3Pokemongames, it did so alongside the Rock-type Regirock and the Ice-type Regice. Two more Regi Pokemon were introduced in the Generation 8Pokemongames with Electric-type Regieleki and Dragon-type Regidrago. There are still many Pokemon types that have yet to be represented by their own Regi Pokemon, but it’s entirely possible that will change in upcomingPokemongames.
Fans shouldn’t hold their breath for new Regi Pokemon to debut in thePokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC. If anything, thePokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC would introduce paradox forms for the Regi Pokemon. That’s highly unlikely as well, especially sinceThe Teal Mask Pokedex has leakedand no such Pokemon exists. It’s possible there will never be new Regi Pokemon, but if any new ones are ever introduced to the franchise, the soonest it would happen would probably be with the Generation 10Pokemongames.
TheGeneration 10Pokemongameshave not been announced at the time of this writing, but hints inScarlet and Violetsuggest they will feature a region based on Australia. It will likely be years before fans know for sure, so for now,Pokemonenthusiasts can continue making fan art and looking forward to theScarlet and VioletDLC.
