ThePersonaseries, much like its parent franchiseShin Megami Tensei, primarily focuses on obtaining Personas to use in battle. Each Persona provides different stats and skills, making it important to make sure to pick the right one for each situation.

The Void Quest dungeon is a mid-game dungeon created from the heart of Mitsuo Kubo that opens up during the first half of August. The party is generally expected to be between the levels of 35 and 45 for this dungeon. Here are the best Personas to use for this dungeon.
10Oni
Oni is a level 30 Persona of the Strength Arcana, which is fairly appropriateconsidering this Persona’s high Strength. Oni’s main strengths are its physical attacks; Void Quest has a variety of enemies that are strong against a variety of elements, so a strong physical attacker is valuable.
Oni resists Phys and blocks Fire, two elements the party will encounter fairly often in the Void Quest dungeon. All these aspects make Oni a strong Persona when going through the early floors of the dungeon, though Oni will quickly fall off due to its low level.
9Flauros
Flauros is a level 36 Persona of the Hierophant Arcana, and it is a good upgrade to Oni in many ways. It has a number of powerful physical skills, but it also has Agilao, allowing it to still contribute against enemies with high Physical resistance.
Defensively, Flauros can block Fire, making it a good Persona to have when fighting against the many enemies that can cast Agi skills, and it resists Wind as well. It does have a weakness to Ice, but since not many enemies in this dungeon use Ice, the weakness is largely negligible.
8Triglav
Triglav is a level 43 Persona of the Chariot Arcana, and once again largely serves as a strong physical attacker. With Power Charge offering the chance for even more physical damage, Triglav can be useful when fighting against enemies with resistance to other elements.

Triglav is strong against physical attacks, but weak against electric attacks. Its high level means that it likely won’t be used until the tail end of the dungeon, maybe by the time the party encounters the dungeon boss.
7Succubus
Succubus is a level 44 Persona of the Devil Arcana, and unlike the previous entries, is more focused on magical attacks. Its core attacks are Agilao and Mudoon, allowing it to hit multiple weaknesses. Spirit Drain and Invigorate 3allow for easier SP management as well.
Succubus reflects fire and blocks dark, and its weakness to light is negligible since no enemies in Void Quest use Hama skills. Its toolkit is very useful against the enemies in this dungeon, but its high level means it won’t be usable until very late in the dungeon.
6Pazuzu
Pazuzu is another Persona in the Devil Arcana, usable at level 37. Pazuzu has a versatile toolkit, with two elemental attacks in Bufula and Mudoon, as well as the enervating attack Navas Nebula. The Cool Breeze passive allows the player to recover 8% of their HP and SP after every battle, which is great for long dungeon runs.
Pazuzu’s main resistances are to reflect Ice, which doesn’t really come up all that often. Still, its possession of Bufu skills allows it to be very deadly against the many enemies in this dungeon that are weak to ice.
5Dis
Dis is a level 39 Persona of the Magician Arcana with a simple yet effective moveset. Its main offensive capabilities lie in its Agi skills, granting very early access to a -dyne skill in the form of Agidyne. Dis also has a variety of support skills in Diarama, Dekunda, and Masukunda.

Dis reflects Fire and isn’t weak to any element, making this Persona a safe bet against the many different types of attacks that can be encountered during Void Quest. Dis is strong enough to be a part of the roster throughout the rest of the dungeon the moment you obtain it.
4Genbu
Genbu is a Level 40 Persona of the Temperance Arcana. It uses Mabufula as its main form of attack, allowing it to be a threat to the many enemies with Ice weaknesses in Void Quest. Marakukaja can also help reduce damage from enemies with powerful attacks like Steel Machine, while Blue Wall can keep enemies with Electric skills from hitting weaknesses.
Genbu blocks Ice, but with only a handful of enemies that use Ice skills, this resistance is not as helpful. However, Genbu can also gain resistance to physical damage, which is helpful against the many enemies that use physical attacks.
3Thoth
Thoth is a level 45 Persona of the Emperor Arcana, meaning it will likely not be obtainable until the end of the dungeon. Nevertheless, it is an incredibly worthwhile Persona to fuse, with a versatile toolkit including Ziodyne, Mahama, Megido, and Mediarama.
Thoth blocks Electric and reflects Light attacks while being weak to Wind and Dark attacks. While the player will not be able to fuse Thoth until the end of the dungeon, it is still a strong Persona and one that can be useful against the dungeon’s boss.
2Gabriel
As another high-ranking Empress Persona at level 44, Gabriel is also unlikely to appear in a player’s roster until they have reached the very end of the dungeon. Nevertheless, it is a powerful Persona with access to Mabufula, Mediarama, and Heat Wave, allowing players to change between attacker and healer depending on the situation.
Gabriel has a variety of resistances, being strong to Fire, blocking Light, and draining Wind. Though the player may not be able to fuse Gabrieluntil they have reached the end of the dungeon, this Persona is still powerful enough to be useful against the dungeon boss as well.
1Black Frost
Black Frost is a special fusionthat must be made with five different Personas. However, the fusion is absolutely worth the effort and cost, as Black Frost has a strong toolkit that can trivialize much of the dungeon, with the ability to hit three elements with Agidyne, Bufula, and Mudoon. Ice Boost, Fire Amp, and Mind Charge boost its damage incredibly, making it a powerful damage dealer.
Unlike many of the other Personas that come in with very high levels, Black Frost is summonable at level 38, making it possible to have it for the majority of the dungeon. With its ability to drain Fire and Ice skills as well as reflect Dark skills, Black Frost can make a trek through the Void Quest dungeon much easier.
Persona 4 Goldenis available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
