Summary
Overwatch 2is bringing back the fan favorite Pink Mercy skin in addition to the brand-new Rose Gold Mercy Bundle. Years ago,Overwatchteamed with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to release the popular Pink Mercy skin, a $14.99 premium variant with 100% of proceeds donated to breast cancer research. Thanks to its limited availability and premium price, the Pink Mercy skin remains one of the most sought-after skins in all ofOverwatch.
Overwatchfans have longcalled for the Pink Mercy skin to make a comeback, especially as a new wave of players has discovered the game throughOverwatch 2. Blizzard is finally givingOverwatch 2fans the opportunity to add the Pink Mercy skin to their collection, along with the brand-new Rose Gold Mercy skin.
From June 25 to July 8,Overwatch 2will be selling thePink Mercy skinfor $15, while the Rose Gold Mercy Bundle will retail for $20. The Rose Gold Mercy Bundle will include “other in-game cosmetics” that “reflect the theme of the campaign,” though specifics weren’t mentioned by Blizzard. The original Pink Mercy charity event included sprays, a player icon, Twitch emotes, and more, so it’s likely something similar will be done with Rose Gold Mercy. Like with the previous Pink Mercy skin event, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research. The previous event raised $12.7 million for breast cancer research and stands as “the largest single donation ever made” to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Overwatch 2 Charity Event Brings Back Pink Mercy Skin
The return of the Pink Mercy skin and the debut of Rose Gold Mercy should prove to be popular withOverwatch 2fans. The skins and their associated charity event will be live duringOverwatch 2Season 11, which, at this point, has remained mostly a mystery Blizzard did recently release a teaser revealing the Season 11 theme to be “Super Mega Ultrawatch” with skins that seem primarily inspired byPower Rangers, but beyond that and the fact that it’s scheduled to start on Thursday, June 20, fans don’t know what else they can expect from Season 11.
While it has yet to be 100% confirmed, it’s believed thatOverwatch 2will be adding the Clash game modeas part of Season 11. Season 11 is not expected to feature a new hero, with Venture having just debuted in Season 10, and so a big new addition like Clash could go a long way in keeping fans interested in the hero shooter.
