Fans ofOverwatch 2are unhappy with one of the latest cosmetic bundles available in the shop, with many criticizing the Mime Moira skin for being an overly-priced reskin of the hero’s default skin.Overwatch 2fans have continually expressed their discontent for the game’s new shop system and its prices, with Legendary cosmetic bundles costing around $20 each. The sequelintroduced many changes and entirely new features alike, withOverwatch 2’s transition to a free-to-playtitle increasing the focus on monetization efforts. Aside from the many hero and gameplay adjustments, the game now features a shop section which allows players to trade Overwatch Coins for available bundles which are refreshed every week. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of loot boxes, which were removed from Blizzard’s hero shooter altogether. The loot boxes in the original game allowed players to earn randomized cosmetics for free each time they leveled up, but inOverwatch 2, players have found that the only way to reliably earn skins is to buy them.RELATED:Overwatch 2 Dev Gives Update on When New PvE Details Will Be RevealedManyOverwatch 2fans across social media sites have expressed their thoughts on the new Mime skin for Moira. In a post on Twitter, TeslaSciences points out that the character’s newest skin is essentially just a recolor of her defaultOverwatch 2skin, topped off with a hat and a little bit of face paint. Although it’s true that each hero has their own recolored skins which can be bought for a relatively low price, most of the complaints focus on the fact that the Mime Moira skin is classed as a Legendary bundle, costing 1700 Overwatch Coins- the equivalent of a whole $17. And that’s with the -46% Black Friday discount applied, with the bundle’s original price sitting at 3200 Coins, or $32.

Some fans are also suggesting that a mime-themed skin would suit other characters, such as Widowmaker, better than it does Moira. Since this is thefirst new skin for Moira since the firstOverwatch, players that main the hero are particularly disappointed that the new skin is so lackluster, while also being listed at what most players consider as an unreasonable price. Many creative fans have provided their own ideas of what skins they would like to see for the support hero in the future, suggesting designs that would be in line with Moira’s particularly classy disposition.

AlthoughBlizzard previously revealed plans to make some event skins available for freefrom the next season onwards, fans are continuing to voice their disappointment over the average prices seen in the store. Many players are urging the developers to bring back free loot boxes, claiming that the potential of free unlocks would provide some much-needed depth to the game’s reward system.

Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
