The Marines are incredibly important in theOne Pieceworld when it comes to maintaining peace in order, however, just like pirates, there are both good and bad marines in the series.

In the current age of piracy, the marines are more important than ever since the influx of pirates has only increased, thanks to the efforts of Roger and then, after the Paramount War, whitebeard. With the influx of pirates, the need for young Marines with incredible potential also increases.One Piecehas introduced fansto several Marines with tremendous potential, however, there are some that stand out more than the others.
9Helmeppo
While Helmeppo is only a Marine Lieutenant Commander at the moment, he is seen progressing with Koby at the same time.He is also one of the students of Garphimself and the fact that Garp sees something in him means that he does carry a lot of potential.
He might not make it to the rank of an Admiral, however, he is quite strong, and for him, reaching a high position in the Navy come the end of the series is almost a given.
8Prince Grus
Prince Grus is one of the Rear-Admirals of the Marines and also among the strongest of the next-generation Marines that fans have seen in the story so far. He is also a part of SWORD, which means that his strength is nothing to be scoffed at.
Prince Grus possesses the power of the Gunyo Gunyo no Mi, which allows him to produce clay from his body at will and manipulate it. His Devil Fruit is quite impressive, as are his battle wits, as seen on the Pirate Island.
7Sentomaru
Sentomaru is the personal bodyguard of Vegapunkand belongs to the Science Division of the Marines. He is also one of the very strongest Navy Officers seen in the story, capable of using a very high level of Haki and possessing tremendous amounts of physical strength.
Sentomaru was easily able to defeat Luffy on Sabaody and, after the timeskip, he has grown only stronger. Even though he lost to Lucci, Sentomaru has a lot of room to grow in the future of the story.
6Kujaku
Kujaku is the granddaughter of the legendary Tsuru of the Navy and she is quite an impressive Marine Rear-Admiral as well, just like Prince Grus. She is also a member of the SWORD and she has the power of the Muchi Muchi no Mi up her sleeve, using which she can’t make anyone bend to her will, including inanimate objects.

Kujaku has quite a lot of potential, given that she is Tsuru’s granddaughter and fans will likely find her at a very high position in the future of the story.
5Tashigi
Tashigi Is a character that most of the fans are very familiar with. She has risen through the ranks quite well and is currently a Marine Captain. She has even worked with the outlaws of the G5 and possesses the ability to use both Armament and Observation Haki.
Even though she ends up losing most of her battles, she has an appetite for learning quickly and, inevitably, she will rise through the ranks in the future.
4Tokikake
Tokikage, also known by his alias of Chaton, is one of the Navy Vice Admirals who was once considered for the position of Admiral during the timeskip. The fact that he was considered for this position in itself means that he is quite powerful.
At the same time, Chaton possesses the ability to use both Armament and Observation Haki. Whether he has a Devil Fruit power or not remains to be seen but fans do know for a fact that he is very strong.
3Gion
Gion, also known as Momousagi, is also a Marine Vice Admiral and she was considered for the position of Admiral during the timeskip as well. She is quite powerful and, just like Chaton, has the power to use both Observation and Armament Haki.
Any Devil Fruit powersshe possesses have not been revealed to the fans just yet, however, in the future, fans might see a glimpse of what she is capable of.
2Koby
Koby the Hero is the protege of Garp and he aims to be an Admiral of the Navy in the future. Koby is quite powerful and the Cross Guild has placed a five-star bounty on his head, which equates to 500 million berries, although much of that is down to the moniker that is associated with his name.
Koby can use the Rokushiki arts and also has control over both Observation and Armament Haki. He was recently able to use an incredibly powerful attack to demolish Pizarro’s right hand. In the future, Koby will get more opportunities to shine and grow as a Marine.
1Smoker
Smoker is a Marine Vice Admiral and, ever since the beginning of the story, he has risen through the ranks at a drastic speed. Currently, the White Chase is a Navy Vice Admiral. Sadly, fans have not seen him for quite a while.
Smoker is a user of both Armament and Observation Haki. At the same time, he’s also a user of the Logia type Moku Moku no Mi, which allows him to turn into, control as well as manipulate smoke at will. Smoker has quite a lot of potential to fulfill and, in the future, fans should not be surprised if he ends up as one of the Admirals or the Fleet Admiral of the Navy.
