Currently, the Navy is engaging in a large-scale war with Yonko Luffy and his crew. It was onlya matter of time before Luffy encountered Kizaruin this war and the previous chapter ofOne Piecesaw to it that these two clashed yet again in the series. This is the first time that Luffy is fighting an Admiral head-on in a proper fight and the result of this fight is surely going to be intriguing.
The Previous Meeting On Sabaody
Luffy and Kizaru actually share a history with each other. In fact, it was even referenced in the previous chapter of One Piece. Fans of the story will remember that the very first time that these two characters met was actually on Sabaody Archipelago, moments after Luffy punched one of the Celestial Dragons, Charloss, right in the face. An Admiral was immediately called to the island and it was Kizaru who was sent to deal with Luffy and, at the same time, the Worst Generation.
Kizaru’s primary target was, of course, Luffy and the two certainly did engage in combat on the island. To make things worse, Sentomaru and his Pacifista were also on the island and they caused all sorts of problemsfor the Straw Hat Pirates. If it wasn’t for Rayleigh, Luffy and the crew would certainly have been utterly destroyed and, thankfully, Kuma also helped diffuse the situation by pretending to separate the crew forever.
That said, the crew faced utter humiliation at the hands of Kizaru and the Navy that day and it surely left a scar. Luffy now realizes that this is time to show everyone that the Straw Hat Pirates are not the same as 2 years ago. He is officially one of the Four Emperors now and this is his chance to prove himself. This fight is going to be very different from the one that Luffy engaged in previously and is also one that fans are going to enjoy to the fullest.
Luffy Vs Kizaru On Egghead
Originally, Kizaru was not sent to Egghead to deal with Luffy. The reason why Kizaru was sailing to the island was to deal with Vegapunk, who was revealed to be studying ancient history. The government decided to send a massive force to Egghead with an Admiral, and they were sure to take care of Vegapunk and all of his creations as well. It was only after the group wassailing towards Eggheadthat Kizaru was made aware of the fact that Luffy had arrived on the island. That is precisely when the Admiral ordered every single ship nearby to join him in laying siege to Egghead. The current forces that are on egghead amount to 30,000 marines on 100 ships. Among these are 20 warships and they include nine Vice Admirals, along with Admiral Kizaru and one of the Five Elders, Saint Jay Garcia Saturn.

As soon as the Egghead Incident began, it was quite clear that Luffy’s clash against Kizaru was only moments away. InOne Piecechapter 1091, the two ended up crossing paths when Kizaru entered the Labophase for the first time. Luffy immediately recognized the threat of the Admiral and stepped to confront him. With a powerful kick coated in very strong Haki, Luffy forced Kizaru to block the attack with all his might. This fight has only just started and it is going to go all the way down until a winner is announced. This is down to the fact that there is nowhere for the Straw Hats to go and they simply cannot leave Kizaru run amok either.
How Strong Is Kizaru?
When it comes to the strength of the Admiral, fans know that he is quite powerful and certainly one of the very strongest in the entire world of One Piece. Kizaru possesses tremendous strength up his sleeve, as is expected of an Admiral of the Navy. He is the user of the powerful Pika Pika no Mi, which is a Logia type of Devil Fruit with the powers to turn the user into light, as well as produce and manipulate this power freely.
He’s an absolute master of his light-based powers and he has utilized them on various occasions throughout the series.
It goes without saying thathis Devil Fruit is certainly one of the very strongestin the entire story and that in itself is enough to make him a worthy opponent for Luffy. His incredible light-speed attacks are not the only thing that Luffy needs to be worried about, however. Kizaru is also a brilliant user of Haki and that was alluded to in the previous chapter as well. Being an Admiral of the Navy, having powerful Haki is the bare minimum anyone can expect from Kizaru. Fans know that the Admiral is a user of powerful Color of Arms Haki, as seen during Marineford, where he used an advanced application of it to deflect one of Whitebeard’s quakes.
At the same time, he also mentioned to Sentomaru that his guard is incredibly tough. Despite taking a Haki-infused attack directly to the face, Kizaru did not even flinch, suggesting that his defense is incredibly tough. At the same time, Kizaru is also a user of the Color of Observation. It is highly likely that his Observation Haki allows him to see into the future as well, and taking all that into consideration, Kizaru is certainly strong enough to be a worthy opponent for Luffy.
The Winner Of Luffy Vs Kizaru
While Kizaru is extremely powerful, he is not going to be able to win against Luffy for many reasons. For one, whatever aspect of power Kizaru excels in, Luffy does as well. When it comes to Devil Fruit usage,Luffy’s fruit allows him to do whatever he wants to do.Imagination is the only thing limiting him and this Devil Fruit is simply way too overpowered to be contended with. When it comes to Haki, Luffy’s Haki is stronger than that of Kizaru from what the fans know so far. His Color of Arms Haki is powerful enough to even hurt Kaido, who has a much tougher guard than anyone inOne Piece. He can use Ryuo as well, Just like the Admiral, and he has certainly refined this ability since he learned it. When it comes to the Color of Observation, Luffy can see into the future and do it very well. He is certainly one of the very best at it and was even able to keep up with Kaido’s tremendous speed.
Above all, Luffy has the Color of the Supreme King, which Kizaru certainly does not. It is going to make a massive difference in this fight, given how dangerous this ability is. Of course, that certainly does not mean that a person wielding this power cannot be defeated. However, it is going to be incredibly difficult for Kizaru to contend with such a monstrous fighter. When taking into consideration his Awakening and his Haki, Luffy is simply the superior fighter of the two. But, if all that was not enough to guarantee that Luffy is going to win this fight, fans should consider the fact that Luffy is fighting this fight to undo what happened 2 years ago. There is definitely not going to be a repeat of the Sabaody arc and the Straw Hat Emperor will certainly see to it.
