After the events of chapter 1063, there was a lot of expectation fromOne PieceChapter 1064, and Eiichiro Oda really delivered. While there were other talking points from the chapter, the main highlight was clearly the fight between the Blackbeard Pirates and the Heart Pirates. The two pirate crews were engaged in a chase, but after Law’s submarine came close to being crushed, the Heart Pirates had to stop on Winner Island.

The battle between the two crews took place just a few days after the events of Wano, so fans were expecting Blackbeard and his crew to secure an easy victory as Law struggled to beat Big Mom even though he had support from Eustass Kid. However, the new chapter managed to shock them as the Heart Pirates have been putting a great shift in to stop the Yonko’s crew from stealing their Poneglyphs.

The Heart Pirates

The Heart Pirates are captained by Trafalgar Law, who is amember of the Worst Generation. He has been involved in almost every arc since the time skip, and due to this reason, it has become a lot easier to track his progress and see where he stands in terms of strength. From an early age, Law was exposed to harsh environments, and it forced him to learn how to survive. After eating the Ope Ope no Mi, Law started to understand its power and eventually master it. The Ope Ope no Mi is a paramecia type devil fruit, and it is quite coveted. In the Underworld, the devil fruit had a price of 5,000,000,000 berries, which is extremely high for any devil fruit.

However, after seeing the power of the devil fruit, it is easy to see why it is valued so highly. The Ope Ope no Miallows Law to create ROOMs, in which he can cut anyone without killing them. He can also perform the most complicated medical procedures, the biggest power of the devil fruit is the Immortality Operation, which, as the name implies, grants a person immortality, but it comes at the cost of the user’s life.

Blackbeard Pirates at Marineford

This was mentioned by Doflamingo, who wanted to sacrifice Law, but Rosinante foiled his plans by running away with Law. The experience that Law had accumulated allowed him to awaken his devil fruit, and as expected, it makes him an even more fearsome opponent. Due to his devil fruit awakening, Law is no longer bound to fighting inside his ROOMs. Not much is known about Law’s crewmates, though it seems none of them have any kind of devil fruit abilities. In chapter 1064, they were seen attacking Blackbeard’s ship from under the water, which shows that they have a lot of courage.

The Blackbeard Pirates

The Blackbeard Piratesare monsters who possess some of the most powerful devil fruits in the entire series. In the recent chapters, Jesus Burgess, Van Augur, Doc Q, and Stronger were seen attacking the Heart Pirates alongside their captain. Jesus Burgess possesses the Riki Riki no Mi, which grants him superhuman strength. With the power of the devil fruit, he was able to lift an entire mountain and throw it toward the Heart Pirates.

Doc Q was the perpetrator of the chaos that ensued inside the Polar Tang. As the user of the Shiku Shiku no Mi, Doc Q can attack the target by infecting them with a variety of diseases. He used the Feminization Disease against Law which eventually spread throughout the entire crew. However, it seems that the devil fruit can be countered by releasing the powerful burst of Haki. Van Augur, the sniper of the Blackbeard Pirates, has eaten the Wapu Wapu no Mi, which allows him to instantly warp all kinds of things. This is a very powerful ability, as it makes it almost impossible to keep track of his movements.

The last member of the Blackbeard Pirates who is involved in the fight is none other than theirCommodore, Marshall D. Teach. He had been waiting for either Law, or, Luffy, or Kid to appear at Winner Island. Blackbeard’s goal was to get his hands on the Road Poneglyph that his fellow Worst Generation members have gathered. It seems like fate that out of the three it was Law who made his way to the island as he has two Road Poneglyphs in his possession, which include the ones from Zou and Wano. So, the only known Road Poneglyph that he is missing is located on Whole Cake Island, which had been attacked by the Blackbeard Pirates.

They successfully kidnapped Charlotte Pudding, but it is unclear whether they stole the Road Poneglyph. Given the bad condition of the Big Mom and the incredible powers of the Blackbeard Pirates, it would be foolish on Blackbeard’s part to not tell them to steal the Road Poneglyphs. So even if he doesn’t defeat Law, Blackbeard should have access to at least one of the four Road Poneglyphs. Naturally, if he wins then he would have three.

How Would It Affect The Series?

The fight between the two pirate crews is not just to see who is stronger; whosoever wins, will take a giant leap toward claiming the One Piece. So, neither crew can afford to hold back, aslosing the Road Poneglyphswould mean saying goodbye to their dream of becoming the Pirate King. Even though Law’s crew is putting up a good fight, the odds are still in Blackbeard’s favor as his crew members have ridiculously strong devil fruits. The fans cannot wait for the fight to reach its conclusion, but they will have to be patient as there will be no chapter next week.
