One Piece is currently in the climaxof the egghead arcand currently, the war between the Navy and the Straw Hat Pirates is raging on. In the previous chapters, the Navy finally made it to Egghead, surrounding it completely so they could fulfill their mission of eliminating Dr. Vegapunk as well as taking down the Straw Hat Pirates.

In this chapter, the war has finally begun, which also triggers the climax of the Egghead Island arc at the same time. With Admiral Kizaru involved, this war is going to be quite dangerous for the crew and fans got a glimpse of why inOne Piecechapter 1091. The Navy has finally launchedtheir all-out attack on Eggheadand things are only going to get more intense moving forward.
In the previous chapter, Kizaru managed to enter Egghead Island with relative ease and, as soon as that happened, Sentomaru ordered every Pacifista to attack the Navy ships. Fans also got a good glimpse of what the mechanized sea beasts were capable of doing in this week’s chapter. One Piece chapter 1091 showcased the incredible power of these monsters created by Vegapunk. They are just as dangerous as Sea Kings and they prove to be powerful enough to destroy Navy ships with rather ease. The lower-ranked marines certainly had quite a lot of problems dealing with them and this is precisely where the Vice Admirals were called into action. This just goes to show that those below the rank of Vice Admiral were likely to struggle against these mechanized sea beasts, which is another testament to the incredible ability of Vegapunk.
From the Navy’s side, fans saw a bunch of Vice Admirals make their move and enter Egghead as well. The unnamed bald Vice Admiral was seen using an ability called Steam Knuckle, which was rather similar to Zephyr’s Smash Buster fromFilm Z.Perhaps, Oda took some inspiration from Zephyr for this Vice Admiral. More importantly, fans also got to see Doll in action. Her fighting style seems to be centered around kicking. She was seen performing Moon Walk to get to the island and then knocking down one of the Sea Kings with a single kick, which just goes to showcase her strength. With the counterattack of the Marines, it is only a matter of time before they make landfall and, at the same time, they have their biggest asset in front of them,and that is, Admiral Kizaru.
Kizaru Vs Sentomaru
The fight between Kizaru and Sentomaru was seen in full flow in this week’s chapter and that is certainly something that every fan wanted. Often, Oda off-screens his fights and that certainly can be disappointing. Thankfully, Oda gave fans a proper look at this fight and, even though it was short-lived, it actually proved to be a very emotional one. For one, Kizaru was always going to win this fight, however, Sentomaru certainly put up an admirable fight against him. He was able to take on quite an assault from the Admiral, blocking one of his kicks with his powerful Haki, and dodging through the barrage of Yasakani no Magatama. In fact, Sentomaru even managed to deal some damage to Kizaru with his powerful Ashigara Dokkoi.

The best part of the fight was the fact that Oda incorporateda small flashback of Sentomaru in this fight.This flashback stemmed from the character of Kizaru, which was certainly very surprising, given that he has not showcased enough emotional capacity in the series so far. This was the very first look that fans got at the human side of Kizaru. Fans got to see a time when Vegapunk and Kizaru were sent to deal with a bear attack in a village. To their surprise, when they got there, the bears were already taken care of, thanks to a little boy named Sentomaru. Of course, he had no place to go and no food to eat. So, Vegapunk decided to make him his bodyguard and in exchange, he would get whatever he wanted.
To protect Vegapunk better, he asked Kizaru to train him and, thus, became his apprentice. It was quite clear to see that Kizaru took a very strong liking to Sentomaru and trained him the best he could. However, the fact that they are on opposing ends now only meant that Kizaru placed more value on his mission than his friend. In the end, he completely crushed Sentomaru and turned his eyes to the Labophase instead.
Chaos In The Labophase
Moments after the defeat of Sentomaru, the battle shifted in the favor of the Marines almost immediately. Kizaru was smart enough to take the Pacifista control chip in his hand and order all of them to join the Navy and sink the mechanized sea beasts. The Pacifistas followed immediately and did just that, opening up a path for the Marines to invade Egghead. With the Fabriophase secured, Kizaru turned his eyes to the Labophase, where the Straw Hat Pirates as well as Vegapunk are at the moment. Thanks to his light-based powers, he was easily able to pass through the Frontier Dome that was set up by York to prevent them from escaping. With him inside, Luffy immediately recognized the threat that had just entered. At the same time, Vegapunk also became fully aware of the fact that Kizaru had entered the Frontier Dome. From there onwards, the entirety of Labophase was in a state of attack chaos.
One Piece1091 saw Lucci switch sides once again, as was expected of his character, and attempt to assassinate Vegapunk, only for Stussy to use her body to shield him. Zoro immediately sprung into action and forced Lucci to block his attack with his leg. The two of them took the battle outside the laboratory and will be engaged in combat in the next chapter as well. Meanwhile, Sanji showed quick thinking and trapped Kaku inside a bubble, keeping him away from combat permanently. Meanwhile, Atlas and Stella tried their best to crack the code to the Frontier Dome, however, it looks like it will take them some time to figure out what it is.
Luffy Vs Kizaru Begins
One Piecechapter 1091 ended withKizaru trying to stop the Straw Hat shipfrom moving to the coast. Luffy immediately recognized the threat and left Vegaforce in order to confront the Admiral. After 2 years, these two characters finally met again, however, this time, Luffy is one of the Emperors of the Sea and strong enough to defeat Kizaru. He immediately flew into combat and landed a powerful kick on him, forcing the Admiral to block. It is likely that this kick was coated in the Color of the Supreme King, which explains why Kizaru was immediately forced into trying hard.
That said, Kizaru’s nonchalant personality remained the same as ever. Luffy made sure that Kizaru got it through his head that the Straw Hat Pirates were not the same as 2 years ago. They are much stronger now and powerful enough to combat against him, as well as defeat the Navy. This time around, the tragedy of Sabaody won’t repeat itself. Instead, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will come out on top and that is certainly something that fans are very excited to see. The next few chapters ofOne Pieceare going to be incredible in every way, however, sadly, fans will have to wait because there is yet another break following this chapter.
