As you progress through the main story ofNo Rest For The Wicked, you will eventually find yourself inSacrament. Continuing to play will grant access to many NPCs and features throughout the town, including some NPCs with some side quests for you to take. This location will be one of the most important in the entire game, and you will make your way back to it periodically.
One quest in Sacrament involves finding the missing husband of the town’s innkeeper. Without many initial clues to go on, here’s how players can undertake this quest and reunite the couple.
Finding The Innkeeper’s Husband
The first thing you will need to do is to accept the quest from its quest giver. On the map below, you’re able to see the exact position of said quest-giver,Caroline.She will be standing outside of her Inn. Walk up to her and expend all her available dialog to start this quest.
After accepting the quest, travel all the way back toMariner’s Keep. This will be a good opportunity toopen theStorage Roomif you have not already done so. Once you get back to the first Fire Pit in the area, head to the left, where you will find a tower. You will hear someone calling out, saying that they are above you.
Run along the outer rim of this tower, and you will find a hole in the wall that you can pass through. You will find aWhisperon this level of the tower, as well as a ladder that you can climb to reach the higher levels. If you have not already done so, activate the Whisper, as it can beused as a means of Fast Travel. Afterward, climb up the ladders until you reach the top of the tower, and head left.
Make a small jump over a broken bridge. On the other side, you will findGordon,who will be grateful that someone finally heard his cries for help. Speak with him and get through all his dialog to update the quest. You will see a corpse with an item near Gordon; this item is theWestern Bridge Key.
You may have already found the door that this key opens during your time in Mariner’s Keep at the start of the game, but were not able to figure out how to open it. That’s because you need to play through this side quest to get the key to open it.
How To Open The Western Bridge
you may use the Whisper from earlier to head back to Sacrament torepair your itemsbefore continuing, as a lot of foes lie ahead. Make your way back to the Fire Pit and take the path on the right side to find a broken wall. Head straight through it to find some stairs. Take the path to the left of these stairs and watch the left side for a flight of much smaller steps. There are plenty of enemies that will throw fire bombs at you, so be on your guard.
Once you reach the top of the steps, head straight through an archway. Go all the way around the spiral without using any of the doorways, and you will find a ladder. Climb to the top and follow the left wall. This will lead you straight to theWestern Bridge Door. Again, there are a lot of enemies to deal with in this area, so don’t try to simply run all the way through. Otherwise, you may find yourself overwhelmed by enemies on both sides. There is also a daunting enemy in the room beyond this door, so it might be worthupgrading your weapons and armorfirst.
After dealing with the enemy beyond the door, you will find a wheel mechanism that opens the gate. Make your way through this gate, and you will see some stairs.Do not go up these stairs.Instead, take the first left you come to and you will find a chest. Follow this trail and take the doorway on the right to come to a bridge. This bridge will lead you to a fire pit, and a ladder that you need to kick down. Speak withGordonand exhaust his dialogue once more, and the quest will be marked as completed.
