There’s no doubt that fans are eagerly anticipating the release ofThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. TheBreath of the Wildsequel is just a month away from release, inviting enthusiasts of the franchise to consume every morsel of information that Nintendo dishes out. And luckily for those excited, moreTears of the Kingdomis heading their way quite soon.Thus far, Nintendo has released apair of official trailers forTears of the Kingdom, as well as a roughly 10-minute gameplay demonstration of the title by series producer Eiji Aonuma. The company didn’t elaborate on exactly what to expect from the reveal. However, they did note that the newTears of the Kingdomtrailer would run about three minutes in length, which is longer than both the initial and second trailers.
When is the Next Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Trailer?
The second trailer for the game was released just a couple of months ago on February 8. Though between the two trailers and the ten minutes of gameplay, fans still have veryfew details onTears of the Kingdom’s story, leaving many fans to speculate that Nintendo will finally dive into some of the game’s overall narrative in tomorrow’s footage.
It is known that it appears Ganondorf will be resurrected in some form as was teased in the very first trailer which debuted at E3 2019. Princess Zelda also appears to be in peril and may need rescuing. Link’s arm appears damaged or modified which leads to his new abilities detailed in Aonuma’s recent gameplay demonstration. And in that same demo, a defeated enemy drops an item called a Zonai Charge, hinting at a more prominent role for themysterious tribe that was alluded to frequently inBreath of the Wildbut never actually seen.
Despite not being available for another month, the follow-up to one of the highest-rated games of all timeis already receiving accolades.Tears of the Kingdomwas nominated, and won, the award for The Most Wanted Game and The Most Anticipated Game at the 2022 Golden Joystick Awards and Game Awards respectively. Many anticipate that a nomination for the 2023 Game of the Year is likely in the title’s future.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomreleases for Nintendo Switch on May 12.
