Nier Replicantis turning out to be quite a success, with new and veteran players enjoying their time with the version ofNierthat fans in the West never got to experience. In fact,Nier Replicantis the top seller on Steamjust one full day after the game’s release.
Surely, plenty of players are making their way through the game and clearing as many of the side quests as possible, including the Village quest called Ballad of the Twins. However, finding the proper materials acrossNier Replicant’s world can prove tricky for those wanting to clear the quests as quickly as possible.

To start the Ballad of the Twins Quest, players must talk to the villager in the center of the Village’s Tavern. The villager will ask you to speak to both Popola and Devola. Devola is a bard who often performs in the Village Tavern, while her twin sister Popola is in charge of the Village Library. First players need to speak to Devola, who can be found inside the Village Tavern, and then speak to Popola who can be found in the Library. Popola will task the player with heading to Seafront and ordering a drink thatrequires the player to find materialsto make.
To continue the quest, players will have to head to Seafront and travel down Seafront’s main road to find the Tavern. Speaking to the Tavern Keeper in Seafront, similarly tothe Bon Appetit side quest, will task players with gathering five lizard tails and five mouse tails. These are raw materials that players will have to gather in two different open sections ofNier Replicant’s map. While the materials are somewhat rare, players can find them fairly easily provided they know where to look.
Finding Mouse and Lizard Tails
First, players should look for the five lizard tails they need. Lizards can be found running around the Northern Plains, which players have no doubt traveled across togather other materials such as goat hide. To gather the lizard tails, players will have to find and catch the lizards in the Northern Plains. There are a handful of places on the Northern Plains that lizards will spawn, and leaving the area and coming back will have them respawn should players need more tails.
To find mouse tails, players will need to head to Junk Heap 1F. Similar to the lizards running around the Northern Plains, players can find mice running around in the Junk Heap. Again, players will have to catch the mice to get their tails. Finally, players need to return to the Tavern Keeper in Seafront and speak to him to completethisNier Replicantside quest.
