Now, it appears that the first major indication ofSilent Hill’s return has appeared, and it seems imminent.
A listing for a newSilent Hilltitle has been discovered on the website for The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea’s website, however, it appears to have now been edited to hide the title of the project. The listing was first reported by Gematsu, who revealed that the listing for the game was originally titledSilent Hill: The Short Message. The publisher is listed as Uniana, a company known for publishingother Konami games such aseFootball 2023in Korea, though no platforms or other details were listed for the mysterious newSilent Hilltitle. It’s not yet known who exactly the developer ofThe Short Messageis.
Given the title of this new game, it seems that maybe thisSilent Hillis intended to be the free playable teaser that leaked earlier this year. This would also make sense for Konami to release in October to celebrate Halloween.
While Konami has yet to publicly announce the title, its appearance on the Korean ratings board seems to confirm its existence and implies that its release is imminent, given that ratings for games usually appear very shortly before their release. It’s not yet known where the release of this title could be announced, but it’s possible thatKonami might be planning some sort of reveal event in October.
