WithNewPokemon Snapslated to hit shelves next week, Nintendo is beginning to ramp up its marketing for the reboot of the cult-classicPokemontie-in. While that’s manifested in trailers and other gameplay clips, its most recent addition is slightly more substantial, allowing players to take a virtual tour of theLental regionvia a new website.

Split up into 8 different sections, the site offers plenty of freshNewPokemon Snapgameplay and a closer look at exactly what to expect from the title’s various locales. It looks as though they’ll offer tons of Pokemon from across all of the franchise’s different entries, with each area offering a variety of opportunities to take fun photographs.

The main locations on show are the jungle, beach, desert, and nature park, while there are also categories depicting what makes the game’s day and night cycle so unique. The final two categories are for item usage and the Pokedex, both of which will be imperative to players' adventures throughoutNew Pokemon Snap’sworld. Jumping into each section brings with it an array of short clips, covering which Pokemon can be found in each region and offering some early hints as to the types of photo ops that can be exploited.

For example, going into the jungle tab offers four videos about some of the area’s more interesting residents, with one clip showing the player throwing afluffruitinto a Pikipek’s nest and getting a photo when it emerges to angrily hoot at its assailant. Other jungle-focused clips show off Morelulls lighting up when they hear a melody, Liepards crossing over branches, and a pair of Quagsires swimming beside a picturesque waterfall. It seems the game’s going to be filled with fun Pokemon encounters and engaging photo opportunities.

The game officially launches on April 30 for the Nintendo Switch, bringing back the addictive gameplay that made the original such a cult phenomenon while adding plenty of fresh faces and new mechanics for good measure. This time around, there will be over200 Pokemonto photograph, including iconic staples like Pikachu, Eevee, and Magikarp, as well as newer additions to the franchise, likeSwordandShield’sGrookey andSunandMoon’sToucannon.

Pokemon Snapwon’t be the only addition to the franchise coming this year, with Nintendo also preparing to launch a remake ofPokemon DiamondandPearlknown asBrilliant DiamondandShining Pearl.They’ll follow it up next year withPokemon Legends: Arceus,which will be a very different type ofPokemongame, switching out the series' traditional style for an open-world adventure with real-time battles.
