For the past week, WB Games Montreal has been releasing teasers for its newBatmangame, set to have its official reveal on Saturday, August 22 at DC FanDome. Now the teasers have culminated in a new trailer that seems to confirm its setting, as well as images that seemingly confirm theCourt of Owlsas the game’s main villainous group.

Earlier this morning, the r3dakt3d Twitter account tweeted out an image of a dial with an owl insignia in the center, strongly suggesting that the newBatmangame from WB Games Montreal will indeed feature the Court of Owls as has been rumored for months. The tweet was actually a puzzle that led fans to the first proper WB Games MontrealBatmanteaser trailer, which seemingly confirms the setting.

TheBatmangame teaser trailer shows a map of what appears to be Gotham City, matching up with previous reports that the new game will feature an open world Gotham similarly toArkham Knight. TheGotham City mapis being displayed on a device that is in some kind of mechanical room with large gears, which could be a clock tower. Perhaps this is a clue as to where the Court of Owls are hiding out in the newBatmangame, though that’s just speculation at this time.

Other teasers for the newBatmangame have hinted that the Court of Owls won’t be the only villains that players encounter. The Court of Owls' assassins, called Talons, will also seemingly be part of the new game, andTwo-Faceis rumored to play a role as well. If pastBatman: Arkhamgames are any indication, then it’s quite likely that other members of Batman’s rogues gallery will also be making appearances in the new game.

As far as playable characters go, the persisting rumor is that the newBatmangame will have the Bat-Family playable, withBatgirlsingled out as a distinct possibility. Some of the teasers have pointed directly to Batgirl being in the new game, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all for that to be announced at DC FanDome on August 22.

WB Games Montreal has been teasing the newBatmangame for a considerable amount of time, so it will likely come as a relief to fans when the game is finally revealed at DC FanDome. Meanwhile, fans can tune in to see other DC Comics video game projects, likeRocksteady’sSuicide Squadgame, as well as some potential surprises from other studios.
