The third Raikage is the most powerful kage in the history of the Kumogakure. Furthermore, there’s even a case to be made that the third Raikage is the strongest ninja that ever lived. Sure, Madara and Hashirama exist in another realm, but Madara has the Mangekyou Sharingan and Hashirama hasthe extremely rare Kekkei Genkai, the Wood Release.Both of those monsters possess absurdly powerful jutsu that no other ninja can do.
As for the Third Raikage, he doesn’t have any of that advantage. He doesn’t possess any Kekkai Genkai or rare inherited jutsu. He defeats ten thousand enemies and subjugates the eight-tailed beast with a regular lightning release jutsu. He doesn’t use any special techniques either. All he does is cloak his body with the lightning chakra, something that every lightning release user can do, and focus most of his lightning on his hands, just like Kakashi’s Chidori.
That’s right, the Third Raikage’s lightning spear is likea supercharged version of Kakashi’s Chidori.He simply cloaks his hands with a dense lightning chakra. And just like Chidori, the third Raikage uses his four fingers as a lightning spear. The lightning exponentially increases the sharpness of his hands, enabling his spear to pierce through a massive boulder with ease.
Cloaking his whole body with lightning also allows him to move at super speed, gain super reflexes, and increase the durability of his body to the extreme. Thanks to this, the third Raikage can drill through thousands of enemies in mere seconds without leaving any scratch on his body. The sight of the Third Raikage fighting on the battlefield is akin to an unstoppable lightning charge that strikes through anything in its path.

When Kabuto forces him to hunt Naruto, the ninja from Iwagakure creates massive stone wall formations, each thicker than a double-decker bus, with an additional rubber wall to make it extra durable. They do all of this to stop the Third Raikage’s charge. Unfortunately for them, it only takes a minute for the four-finger lightning spear to breach through the walls.
To protect Naruto fromthe Third Raikage’s wrath,a Kumogakure’s jonin named Dodai enclosed Naruto in a rubber ball about as thick as a brick wall. The Third Raikage easily cleaves through the rubber with his one-finger lightning spear, only to find that Naruto is nowhere to be seen.
Another unbelievable story about the Third Raikage is how he fought against ten thousand enemies alone to buy time for his retreating soldier. There’s also that time when he subjugated the rampaging eight-tailed beast alone until the beast was defeated while the man himself passed out due to a self-inflicting wound. Legendary individuals like Madara and Hashirama deserve to be called the Gods of Ninja. However, the fact that the third Raikage manages to achieve mind-blowing feats that only a handful of other ninjas can do while only using basic lightning release and a simple finger thrust attack puts him in the conversation as one of the greats. He can move like The Flash, has a durable body like Superman, and can bulldoze through anything with ease like the Juggernaut from X-Men. He may not be the God of Ninja, but when it comes to physical prowess,he is undoubtedly the strongest in history.
