With the release ofMortal Kombat 11’sAftermathexpansion, dataminers have been poring over the new code looking for any potential leak opportunities. So far, at least one futureMortal Kombat 11character has been leaked as a result. Leakers now appear to have found another interesting detail to share just recently. It’s not as substantial as a leaked DLC character, but it might turn into something exciting. That being code referring to a secretMortal Kombat 11fight for the Arcade Ladder.
Leaker thethiny posted their discovery on Twitter recently. A bit of text in the Arcade Ladder script reads, when converted from hexadecimal code, as “Execute Secret Fight.” This bit of script is apparently loaded every time aMortal Kombat 11player enters theKlassic Tower. That means that, theoretically, players can trigger this secret fight through the Klassic Tower through some means. It’s even available to allMortal Kombat 11fighters.

The problem is that the script doesn’t refer to the actual background code that activates the secret fight. That means that there’s no way of knowing who the secret fight is with, how it’s activated, or even if it’s currently inMortal Kombat 11. Dataminers continue to try and discover the secret behind theSecret Fight, but so far the search is fruitless.
Initially, thethiny believed that the Secret Fight might be with Onyx. Onyx being a protege ofNoob Saibot, another fighter hidden behind a secret fight inMortal Kombat 9. Apparently, Onyx is referred to in some ofMortal Kombat 11’s code as Secret Kombatant, which led to the immediate connection. However, this was quickly discovered to be a reference to Noob Saibot in a tag assist Sub-Zero tower, so there’s no actual connection to Onyx anymore.
Fans, understandably, are speculating about just who the Secret Fight could be. Some hope for Rain, some hope for rumoredDLC fighter Ash, and others forMortal Kombatcharacters yet to appear inMortal Kombat 11. Their guesses are as good as any at this point. But nothing is provable at the moment.
Again, the most likely scenario is that theMortal Kombat 11script was either placed in the game by accident, a copy and paste gone awry, or that it refers to a fight either removed or as-yet-unfinished. Dataminers will continue to look for the Secret Fight trigger and the character behind it. But it may be a while for an answer to present itself. It may even requireNetherRealmto address the leak.
