Activision’sCall of Dutyfranchise is no stranger to bugs and glitches, especially around the implementation of new updates. The open-world nature of the battle royaleCall of Duty: Warzonemakes it particularly susceptible to issues such asgetting stuck in place when falling, but multiple players have recently been coming across a new glitched animation.

The animation shows players using bandages that their operator begins wrapping around his or her left arm despite the fact that no such item exists in the game. One player who goes by regnilsemaj on Reddit uploaded a clip of theCall of Duty: Warzonebandage animationlast month that came up when they were attempting to use armor plates while climbing a ladder. Today, a Redditor named JustinMLG uploaded their own video to the r/modernwarfare subreddit that they say occurred when they were shielding.

A number of people in the Reddit post’s comments hazard a guess that the animation comes from a mechanic scrapped in place ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s Stim Shot, though JustinMLG wonders whether the bandages may instead be part of a “possible update.” It’s not too farfetched to imagine this could be the case given multiple players have come across this same animation in such close proximity with seemingly no precedent.

If there were a time forWarzone’s developers to be working on a new mechanic that may be coming to the game but is not ready to officially release, now would probably be that time.Modern WarfareSeason 4 was delayedlast week alongsideCall of Duty: MobileSeason 7 in solidarity with ongoing Black Lives Matter protests, with Season 4 having been geared up to launch on June 3.

However, there is really no way to tell whether bandages are an intended new mechanic or an animation glitch carrying over from a scrapped element unless the developers make an announcement on the matter. For now it is just an interesting glitchCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers may be able to come across.

Even if bandages do come toWarzoneas JustinMLG believes they might, some players may prefer to see quality of live updates rather than new mechanics. One player has created afanmadeWarzoneHUD to try and improve teamworkby making what items each member of the team has more transparent.
