With the Plasma Beam in hand, players should set their sights on theMagmoor Worksation, which can be reached by passing through the Geothermal Cave and South Core Tunnel. Upon arriving in this room, fans should make a quick detour to the nearbySave Stationand then pass through the elevated door within the Workstation. This door leads to theWorkstation Tunnel, and fans should use aPower Bomb inMetroid Prime Remasteredto get past its debris and reach an elevator to thePhazon Mines West.

Phazon Mines

After arriving in the Phazon Mines, players should useMetroid Prime Remastered’s Grapple Beamto cross the Phazon inTransport Access. This will allow fans to reach thePhazon Processing Center, where they should drop and pass through an Ice Beam door to access theMaintenance Tunnel. Here, players should enter the Morph Ball tunnel and use a Power Bomb to clear the rocks that impede their progression.

This will reveal that there are several platforms above the Phazon, which fans can reach with the help of the large mushroom that is nearby.

The hidden platforms should be used to reach two Spider Ball Tracks, and players should place a Power Bomb on the wall to the left of those tracks. This explosion will reveal another wall that can be removed with a Power Bomb, and players should cross the Spider Ball Track bridge on the other side. Fans should then use the X-Ray Visor to reveal a platform that can be ridden to aMissile Expansion.

With the expansion collected, players should return to the two Spider Ball Tracks that they encountered just before taking this quick detour. These tracks can be used to reachElevator Access B, and fans should press forward to reach an elevator toPhazon Mines Level Three.

Players will now find themselves inFungal Hall Access, and there is aMissile Expansiontucked under one of the mushrooms at the bottom. While fans will take some damage if they attempt to collect this upgrade now, players that have health to spare may want to grab it before advancing intoFungal Hall A.

InFungal Hall A, fans should then use the large mushrooms to cross the Phazon chasm and reach a Glider, which can be used as a Grapple Point in order to swing to a door that can be opened with theIce Beam inMetroid Prime Remastered. This door leads to thePhazon Mining Tunnel.

There is a rock in this tunnel that players must destroy with a Power Bomb. Fans must then useMetroid Prime Remastered’s Boost Ballto get across a series of disappearing metal platforms and enterFungal Hall B. To note, if a player encounters a section of this tunnel that is covered with Phazon, they should go back to the left to find the exit.

Upon enteringFungal Hall B, fans should set their sights on the door that is across the chasm. There is a small circle of mushrooms beneath this door, and placing a Morph Ball Bomb in its center will reveal aMissile Expansion. Notably, there is also Missile Station through the second door in Fungal Hall B, and players should consider refilling before enteringQuarantine Access B.

There are several cloaked Bombus withinQuarantine Access B, which players can see with the help of the X-Ray Visor. This makes it much easier to get across the hallway and reachMetroid Quarantine B, where fans should climb the Spider Ball Track and use the Grapple Point that the encounter.

Players will now see a force field, and they should scan the nearby terminal to deactivate it. Fans should then scan the terminal that is just beyond the force field to collect aPirate Dataentry and hit the tank on the right with one ofMetroid Prime Remastered’s Super Missilesto reveal aMissile Expansion. With these collectibles out of the way, players should make their way to the first floor of Quarantine B and use theSave Stationthat is through a Plasma Beam door.

Once the save has been made, players should climb the elevated walkway that is nearby to reachElite Quarter Access. Here, fans must hit a frozen tube with their Plasma Beam to open a path toElite Quarters. In this room, players will encounterMetroid Prime Remastered’s Omega Pirate, and they should scan and dispatch this boss to receive thePhazon Suit.
