There are two Energy Tanks to collect onMetroid Dread’s Ataria map, and one of them can be a bit tricky to access. This is the Energy Tank located at the top-left corner of Ataria, just past a Shutter Platform, and fans will need to break through some Speed Booster blocks in order to reach it. Providing details on exactly how to get past those blocks is the precise purpose of this guide, and players that read on should have no trouble collecting this Ataria Energy Tank inMetroid Dread.
The easiest way to grab this Energy Tank starts by positioning Samus just left of the aforementioned Shutter Platform, as close as possible to the step that is under the Energy Tank. From here, players should start running to the right and immediately activateSpeed Booster inMetroid Dread. They should then press down on the left joystick right before reaching the two Bomb blocks to store their energy for a Shinespark.

With the energy stored, players should head back left and wait for the Shutter Platform to disengage. As soon as that occurs, fans should jump and perform two Flash Shifts to the left, bypassing the Platform and landing directly under the Speed Booster blocks that are trapping the Energy Tank. All that is left to do now is to press B to Shinespark up into the blocks and grab thisMetroid Dreadcollectible.
For those players that like a challenge, there is another way to get this Ataria Energy Tank, and it begins with Samus in the room to the right of the one that contains the collectible. From this position, fans should Speed Booster to the left and hit down just before reaching the Bomb blocks from the right side. They should then useMetroid Dread’s Morph Ballability to enter the tunnel with those blocks and drop a Cross Bomb to destroy them both simultaneously.
At this point, things become very similar to the second part of the first method. Indeed,Metroid Dreadplayersshould simply use two Flash Shifts to clear the Shutter Platform followed by a Shinespark to blast through the Speed Booster blocks. That said, the timing on this is extremely tight, and fans that want to make their lives easier are advised to go with the other option that is available.
