He will be packaged into the aptly named Fantastic Four: Shadow of Doom DLC. Fans of this classic Marvel baddie won’t have to wait too long, as the DLC is set to release Spring 2020. It is speculated that the Shadow of Doom DLC will be different from previous DLC because it will include five new playable characters instead of the typical four. This is because it is believed the expansion will comprise of the traditional Fantastic Four team – Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing – as well as the team’s greatest nemesis, Doctor Doom. Nintendo has yet to confirm these details, but it would certainly make sense given the theme of the content.

Players don’t have to wait until Doctor Doom releases to control some of the biggest and baddest in the Marvel universe, though. There aresecrets characters to unlockwithin the game that include Elektra, Magneto, Loki, and, Mr. Snap himself, Thanos. This is no easy task, however. Players will have to complete various Infinity Trails, which can prove quite challenging. These four are just a sampling of the many other characters players can unlock throughout the game or download via DLC packs like the one mentioned above.

There are already two other paid DLC packs available now. Each includes four new playable characters, as well as story content. TheCurse of the Vampire DLCwas the first to release and includes Blade, Moon Knight, Punisher, and Morbius. The expansion also introduced a new Endurance mode, as well as a Gauntlet mode, which hasmulti-stage challenges that provide players with S.H.I.E.L.D. Tokens.

The second, and most recent, is theRise of the Phoenix DLCthat released in December 2019 and is a big one for X-Men fans. Not only does it focus on one of the most popular storylines in X-Men history, but the pack brings Cable, Iceman, Gambit, and Jean Grey into the title. They join Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Wolverine, other classic mutants who are part of the main roster. But that’s not all for the X-Men, as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 kicked off its downloadable content with a free set that introduced prominent membersColossus and Cyclops as playable characters.
