The originalMarvel’s Spider-Mangame features dozens of suits for players to try out, with a majority of these costumes pulled directly from the comics or films. However, one thingMarvel’s Spider-Mandoes not provide is a suit customization feature, something that many fans wish was available.

If suit customization existed inMarvel’s Spider-Man, fans would be free to mix and match pieces of the game’s many costumes to create unique suits of their own. For example, the popular raised webbing from the Raimi Suit could be mixed with the Stark Suit. Alternatively, the large white spider symbol from the Advanced Suit could be used on something like the Secret Wars suit. Eyes, colors, and web shooters could be other options to mess around with, and being able to mix and match cosmetics would surely result in a fashion community similar to what is seen in games likeDestiny 2. With a detailed photo mode available, plenty of stylish screenshots of these custom suits in action could be captured and shared.

While it remains to be seen if this fan-requestedfeature will be included inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, a Reddit user named ouijajord has shown what it would look like had it been present in the original game, and the design can be viewedhere. The player’s mockup shows three customizable slots, with the eyes, web shooters, and spider emblems able to be adjusted. The Redditor then shares some images of the options being used, with players able to see all the choices when they click on one of the suit pieces.

For example, the mockup shows various eye options, with players able to choose between the Homemade Suit’s lenses ortheAmazing Spider-Manversionof the hero’s eyes. Another shot of the menu shows fans a color slider, which would them adjust their suit’s aesthetic even more. Even better, an option for a cartoon filter exists, letting players have comic-like, cel shaded variants of any suit they make. While this is obviously not a real feature, it is fun to see what it could look like if it was.

Unsurprisingly, theMarvel’s Spider-Mancommunity responded well to this creation, giving ouijajord over 1,100 upvotes. In the comments, many say how much they would like to see an official version of this feature in the sequel, with Awjj suggesting even more customizable parts like gloves, pants, and shoes. ReeceReddit1234 argued that a customization system like what was seen inBioWare’sAnthemwould be ideal, while Iamasoupenjoyer suggested alternate suits for Spidey’s villains.

WithMarvel’s Spider-Mancoming to PC soon, perhaps a clever modder will make this idea a reality. For now, though, fans only have access to this mockup of a suit customization mechanic.

Marvel’s Spider-Manis available now on PS4 and PS5. A PC version will be releasing on August 12.
