Even though he has yet to appear in anyMCUmovies, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, is one of the best villains thatMarvelhas to offer. Intelligent, ruthless, and ambitious, Kingpin rules the criminal underworld and even heroes such asDaredevilcouldn’t stop him for good.

Kingpin has a similar position in the comics, in which he’s a major villain for bothDaredeviland Spider-Man. Just like most Marvel characters, Wilson Fisk isn’t all evil, and has had his more positive moments. However, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s done many awful things. Some of his deeds have been truly terrible, and knowing these will help audiences understand why is Kingpin such a threat.
6He Tried To Kill Daredevil’s Best Friend
Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson are best friends both in the MCU’s showDaredevil,and in the comics. So whenKingpin decided to get his revenge on Daredevilfor stopping one of his plans, Fisk decided to hit the superhero where it hurt and kill his best friend.
He didn’t plan to do it on his own, though, and instead tasked Elektra with killing Foggy. Fortunately for Foggy and Matt, Elektra refused to fulfill Fisk’s demand when she realized who Foggy was and what killing him would mean for Matt.
5He Killed A Man Who Worked For Him
While Kingpin provides his employees with a generous amount of money, it’s still highly dangerous to work for him. The reason is that Kingpin doesn’t spare his employees. When they make a mistake, they’re done for.

When Kingpin’s enforcer Tom Cochrane plans a heist and Spider-Man prevents it, Kingpin asks Tom to come and talk to him. Knowing his failure would lead to the death of his wife and children, Tom accepts his death and allows Kingpin to kill him, proving that Wilson Fisk is merciless.
4He Ruined Matt Murdock’s Life
One of the worst things that can happen to any superhero is when their enemy learns the truth about their identity — especially if it’s someone as influential as Wilson Fisk. WhenKaren Page sold the secret of Daredevil’s true identityto Kingpin, he decided to completely ruin Matt Murdock’s life. He started by freezing his accounts, but didn’t stop there. He framed Matt for a crime, and even though Foggy kept Matt out of prison, Matt could no longer practice law.
Kingpin also blew up Matt’s apartment. He hired a man to dress as Daredevil to throw bad light on the superhero. Needless to say, Matt didn’t take it well, and Kingpin was very close to breaking him for good. Finally, no one should forget the time when Kingpin sent out Bullseye to kill Elektra, and broke Daredevil’s heart in the process.
3He Killed His Family
Life holds very little value for Wilson Fisk. He has even killed members of his own family, or allowed them to die.In thePunisher MAXseries, young Fisk killed his stepfather, and in the MCU showDaredevil, he killed his biological father. It’s true that both men were abusive, but that doesn’t change the fact that Fisk murdered them.

But by far the worst thing he did to his family was letting his own son die. When Fisk’s equally villainous enemy Rigoletto threatened to kill Fisk’s son Richard if Fisk didn’t do what he wanted, Fisk refused and watched as Rigoletto slit his son’s throat. That ultimately led to the breakdown of the relationship between Fisk and his wife.
2He Almost Killed Aunt May
Peter Parker hasn’t had an easy life, andone of the closest people to him who survived in the comics is his Aunt May. However, even May could have met an untimely end because of Wilson Fisk. When Spider-Man revealed his secret identity during the Civil War at Tony Stark’s behest, it blew up in his face. Fisk used the knowledge to his advantage, and sent a sniper to kill Spider-Man.
Fortunately for Peter, he was able to save himself and Mary Jane Watson thanks to his spider-sense. But he wasn’t fast enough, and Aunt May got shot. This had an unexpected impact on Peter’s life. He made a deal with Mephisto, who saved May’s life — in exchange forthe love between Peter and MJ. So even though Fisk ultimately failed in killing Spider-Man, he still took something very important from his life.
1He Lied To Echo About Her Father’s Death
Kingpin is more than capable of hurting even the people he keeps close and supposedly cares about. When he took in Maya Lopez, aka Echo, after her father’s death, he lied to her about her father’s demise for years. He claimed that Daredevil was the one responsible — but whenEcho went after Daredevil, she learned the truth and confronted Kingpin about it.
The same situation happened in the MCU a bit differently, as Hawkeye’s life was on the line rather than Daredevil’s. However, the end result was the same. In both cases, Maya avenged her father by shooting Fisk. He survived in the comics, though, and since his death didn’t happen onscreen inHawkeye, it is a possibility that Kingpin could come back to the MCU.
