How To Get Sand & Glass In Fortnite
In order to find sand in the game, players need to head to areas where the sandy biome is present. Precisely, players can head to either the Dry Valley or the beaches. Once players find the sandy area, they need to use their shovels to get the sand. If players don’t have a shovel, they will need to get three wooden rods and one plank. After getting the items, the shovel can be crafted at theCrafting Bench, which in turn can be used to dig for sand. It is crucial to have an upgraded shovel to ensure players get the most amount of sand. Here is the amount of sand players get depending on the rarity of the shovel.

When it comes to glass, there are a number of requirements to get it. Not only do players need sand for it, but before that it is crucial to build a Metal Smelter. For that, players will need 15xBrightcore, 35x Obsidian Slab, and 3x Blast Core. Once players have theMetal Smelter, they can use it to get the glass. Simply put 2x Sand and 1x Brightcore to get 1x Glass. In order to find Brightcore, players will need to venture to the Lava caves. The Lava Caves can be found in the Dry Valley area in the game. Additionally, players will need arare pickaxeto get Brightcore.
What Are Sand & Glass Used For?
Since sand is relatively new to the game, so far it can only be used to make glass. Glass, on the other hand, can be used to make the compass as well as the spyglass. The compass can be used for finding village markers, while the spyglass can be used to know which item is lying on the ground, which can prove to be quite useful in a variety of situations.
